  1. JOHN HARDIN!!  If you look at the Region 2 District 3 team, there are NO members whatsoever from John Hardin. Were they being boycotted? :irked:
  2. Good luck, Knights! The battle between you and Bowling Green should be a tremendous tussel. :thumb:
  3. It's that time of year again to get the trusty lawnmower out of the garage to mulch the last of the fallen fall leaves and buzz the seedy blooms off of the weeds. :ylsuper:  :ylsuper: :fire: :fight: HERE IT COMES AGAIN, WEE-WEEDS...B-R-R-R-! :fight: :fire:
  4. You're not by yourself, Xtiger69, as both two of my sons and I all woke up this morning with "St. X. High, St. X. High, You're the best of schools around" raspy voices. We don't feel bad though, since this was as much fun as being with a G-R-R-E-A-T group of friends singing Christmas carols...GO TIGERS!! :thumb:
  5. Tigers, you looked magnificient tonight. I was especially happy to see the great improvement in the play of the special teams over the performances in the previous two games. With 10 scores being registered tonight (8 tds. and 2 fgs.), I got to listen to the St. X. Fight Song more than I have heard it in years. Besides giving kudos to the players and coaches, I would also like to salute the St. X. fans who came in droves and were loud and enthusiastic in their cheering support. :thumb: :dancingpa STATE FINALS...HERE COME THE TIGERS!! :dancingpa
  6. Justin Jeffries of Saint Xavier has verbaled to UK.
  7. You've got to consider, XTiger69, that Steward 20's view of the world has been somewhat altered by excessive inhalation of landfill gas...it can be mindwarping! :scared:

  10. After attending the team Thanksgiving ceremony at St. X. this morning, I am that much more convinced that this year's Tigers are on a mission and will not be denied....St. X. 31 - Warren Central 21. :fire: :fight: TIGERS BECOME DRAGON SLAYERS!! :fight: :fire:
  11. After reanalyzing all the data, I've come back to my 4A Preview result. This game will be a high scoring affair, despite the fridged weather, and will be back-and forth until the 4th quarter, when the wee-weed depth takes control. Two late passes from Petrino to Kircher seal the victory for the pebbles over the Blue Devils by a 49-35 count. X and t move to the finals...as it should be! :thumb: I haven't been able to get on BGP for the past two days and it has been TERRIBLE!!
  12. Considering the result of Cantrell's poll, I thought we BOTH had already concluded that it was definitely FICTION.
  13. If you have had any experience applying for college financial aid, you should understand how this works, and how your personal finances are scrutinized to make a judgement on how much tuition your family can afford to pay, and how much tuition assistance is needed. This is not rocket science.
  14. If you're going to offer such sarcastic comments, please do some research and get your facts correct if you want to establish any validity. The number of boys at both St. X. and trinity is 1400, not 1500 to 2000. Plus, for whatever reason, we can't seem to find 5 decent athletes for basketball or 9 decent athletes for baseball. Can you help me with that one? :irked: To get back on thread, congratulatuons to the pebbles on their big win over Boone County. :thumb:
  15. Have you never heard of the use of pen names in the world of fictional literature? I still think this sounds like a SHA girl.
  16. Possibly... I wouldn't think it would be for academics, but it could be for religion or discipline. It really matters little, since I am a firm believer in freedom of education choice for whatever reason.
  17. Thanks for the info, because this was the first time I'd heard about this Manual to trinity transfer, and I wasn't sure how it was handled. Strange that he was good enough for trinity's varsity, but not for Manual. It seems like most of the time the transfers are from private to public instead of the other way around. :thumb:
  18. Just out of curiosity, how does a mid-season transfer from Manual to trinity get to play already? For a freshman to play varsity for the pebbles, he must be awfully good. Did Manual release him for immediate participation?

  20. Are you insinuating that my predictions are not fundamentally scientific, but emotional and biased? :jump:
  21. Bardstown has too much speed for Mayfield and will overcome the hostile environment of the away journey...Bardstown 34 - Mayfield 20. :thumb: From personal discussions with westsider, I am only sorry that there was not some way for Lexington Christian Academy (who was just eliminated by NCC in the East) to confront Mayfield also this season. It would have been well worth the ticket price to me.
  22. This should be another fantastic game. I'm so happy that Coach Glaser scheduled away games early against Bowling Green and Lexington Catholic to help prepare the Tigers for the rough road ahead of them. For whatever reason, we just do not perform well when we journey into WKY. Although Warren Central does not have a 6-7 receiver to defend against this year, overall the Dragons are probably a better team than they were in 2003. They returned nine starters on offense and seven starters on defense from last season. In RB Quinton Curry, they have one of the best in the state, plus behind QB Blake Ayres the Dragons have amassed over 2200 yards via the pass. The OL has everyone back from last year and can confront the Tigers with good size. Defensively Warren Central will play a 4-3 and have a very solid rush defense which will challenge the ST. X. vaunted OL and running backs, Vic Anderson and Mike Mattingly. If the Dragons have a weakness, it is in the secondary where they have been burned a lot by the pass. Unfortunately, the St. X. passing attack has been less than stellar this year, so I don't believe that the Tigers can take much advantage of this chink in the Dragon armour. In the past two games the Tigers have performed very poorly in special teams, having two muffed punt returns, one blocked punt, a blocked field goal, and two blocked extra points. This is normally one of the strongest facets of the X attack. Hopefully, the Tiger coaching staff can identify the problem areas and get them back on track before facing Warren Central, or it could spell BIG TROUBLE! Since I have a sister who now teaches for Warren Central (although her son graduated from St. X.), I have a SPECIAL interest in this game. I need to think a little longer before making any predictions, although I don't believe that there will be more than a 14-point spread either way.
  23. I'm not a Fort Campbell person, but I was at the ND/Syracuse game this past Saturday and saw Micah there with Leonard Gordon and James Aldridge, and he seemed to be having a GREAT time at the game as well as the Senior Day celebration. Charlie Weis is putting together a fantastic recruiting class at Notre Dame this season, which has stirred some true interest for Micah Johnson. His mother accompanied him on the trip and reportedly she was very favorably impressed with the Notre Dame environment...GO IRISH!!
  24. Got me...that was supposed to be 11/12 instead of 11/22.
  25. These guys are the GREATEST...plus I've heard through the grapevine that they have the best management team. :thumb:
