  1. I am rooting for the DeSales Colts and Coach Sanders, but deep in my heart I believe that Owensboro Catholic is the team of destiny in 2A this season.
  2. Please explain these achievements this year. I see three tough games on the schedule (MBA, St. X., and Manual), and I see a 1-2 record in these games. I think I would want a stronger foundation to stand upon before I started announcing to the world ala Mohammed Ali, "I am the GREATEST."
  3. Must be a Sacred Heart girl who's boyfriend attends trinity.
  4. Where is the L-O-V-E for the Tigers, little lotus...I just don't feel it!  I think your 56-7 prediction of a wee-weed victory is totally ludicrous and great posterboard material for Henry Clay...the Blue Devils thank you for your obvious lack of respect. :irked:
  5. Since we already have this turf and Pizza Box experience, maybe it would be best for the Tigers to win so the West will have a better chance of being victorious over the East in the 4A final. Then again, if this game were played at WKU, then both Warren Central and X would have the turf experience and the Dragons, if victorious, would be turf-qualified representatives in the Pizza Box.
  6. This should be a super game with the ground-crunching Blue Devils against the air-happy pebbles. The wee-weeds have had trouble all year stopping a strong ground attack and have been outrushed so far this season. In Rod Johnson, Henry Clay has a 6-1, 240 lb. running back who has stomped over a lot of defensive bodies this season. In likestead, the landfill gang has filled the airways with an underrated Nick Petrino heaving to Ornsdorff, Kircher, Senn, and others who comprise the best receiving group in Kentucky. The Blue Devils pass defense has been less than stellar against much weaker attacks. With each teams offensive strength cancelling out the other's strength, I believe this game then boils down to the success of Salin Simpson' s ability to pass against a strong wee-weed secondary versus the ability of Barnett and Donnell to rush against a strong Blue Devil D-line. This to me also seems like a Mexican standoff. Looking beyond this, trinity will have the home field advantage and more playoff experience, but Henry Clay has faced more highly ranked opponents this year. This game will be tight with a three-point margin or less for the winner. I need more time on deciding this one.
  7. So far so good on my 11/22 post: 1A - Newport Central Catholic 2A - DeSales or Owensboro Catholic 3A - Lexington Catholic 4A - Saint Xavier Keep the ball rolling teams! :thumb:
  8. Thank you, Mr. Danza, for clearifying this situation. Had you already tried to find out from AD the AD? :thumb:
  9. I've only been able to access BGP three times in the past four days. What is happening...are we overloaded? I've been suffering MAJOR withdrawl, especially late last Friday night. :irked:
  10. You would do best to stick to you pebble threads, at least until such time as the actions of your team (two brooms in a row are now in the closet) can support your braggadocious style. At this time of year it is best to "walk softly and carry a big stick." Somehow, I'm not feeling that L-O-V-E for which you constantly seem to be searching.
  11. St.X. had back-to-back undefeated seasons in 1974 and 1975 when they won state titles under Bill Glaser.
  12. This seems like fuzzy math, west. I would have a lot more available talent to choose from with the 2,200 differece in Florida than I would with the 1,300 gap in Kentucky. Remember, as you keep stressing, football is mainly just a numbers game and 2,200 is a much larger number than 1,300.
  13. We're waiting on your $2,000,000 donation so that we can name it LSU Tiger Stadium.
  14. Which 4A school did you forget, west? Was it St. X. or trinity? The last time I looked BOTH of them were still in the title chase.
  15. Duh...is the orange & black showing again?   I do wish Eric the best in New Haven. :thumb:
  16. The pebbles just have way too much pass/run gas in the offensive tank and will jump on Boone County hard and early...trinity 45 - Boone County 14.
  17. Bardstown Newport Central Catholic trinity Western TP - 163
  18. I would also like to congratulate Eric Senn...a great reward for an outstanding football player and obviously great student. It is quite an honor to have such an array of prestigious schools vying for your committment. :thumb: From a personal standpoint, however, I wish you would have selected Princeton over Yale; but amongst these you can make no mistake.
  19. Bell County Somerset Lexington Catholic Bullitt East Henry Clay Warren Central Western Bardstown Newport Central Catholic Fort Campbell TP - 65
  20. No excuses...they have played the best and beat the best in Kentucky...12-0. Can anyone else make this claim? In regards to playing Riverdale, Tn., I'm not sure who would win, but it would definitely be worth the price of admission. :thumb:
  21. I really believe that Bullitt East has been quietly flying under the radar this year despite an outstanding record. After upending Boyle County this Friday, they will no longer be a stealth team and finally receive the respect due them.
  22. Where is the LOVE from the pebble faithful? I just don't FEEL it! (Does this sound familar?) Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that not everyone supports your school.  :ylsuper: GO TIGERS...BEAT THE DAWGS!! :ylsuper:
  23. Looking at Class 6A, how can a school with 2584 compete with a school with 4742? This BIG discrepancy makes our Kentucky situation seem like a mole hill. It looks like they need to add a couple more classes at the top end to remedy this situation. Another interesting observation is that according to Kentucky educational beliefs, once a school exceeds 1000 in enrollment, the educational potential declines, so we build complete new schools instead of expanding facilities (it does create more administrative jobs, construction jobs, etc.). In Florida, approximately 70% of the schools exceed the magic 1000 number. Does this mean that the educational system in Florida is far below that in Kentucky, or do they know something that we don't?
  24. We won't go into that, since it was the same situation last week against Manual.
