If you think this is a measuring stick, consider that Dixie has twice played with Scott County into the 4th quarter this year. And both of those were AT Scott County. So Cov Cath should be able to hang with the Cardinals. Scott County wins, though, 77-64.

Dixie beat themselves tonight with poor shooting and a bad 3 minute stretch in the fourth quarter. Game was a little close than the final score... despite bad shooting and some banged up guys in red. After seeing Holmes tonight I would say the ninth region is pretty wide open.

I don't know whether Holmes will be better off with or without Rice, but I will go ahead and guess with. Dixie 60, Holmes 55

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. How will this affect the Bulldogs in their upcoming games against Dixie, NCH, and NCC?

If we are going to start on this, I also have heard from numerous people that Jamar Higgs does not play for the Bulldogs anymore. Anyone have exact details?

Dixie has by far played the toughest schedule in the 9th. Listen to these games: @ Scott County twice, @ Pendleton County, @ St. Xavier (Ohio), @ George Rogers Clark, @ Highlands, @ Covington Catholic, @ New Cath, vs. Eastern, vs. DeSales, vs. Ballard, vs. Henry Clay, and with games against Holmes and Fern Creek still to come, that is 12 games against top 25 teams in the state, and 13 if you count St. Xavier. I would think they will be tournament tested.

Dixie beat North Oldham in the Toyota Classic, and since Highlands beat Dixie by close to 20 in their matchup, you would have to think the Birds would be favored big here. Highlands by 15-20.
