I don't think he was there 4th option. He was there #1 option in the paint. He was very effective in the paint against the Birds. He will be missed.

 

The bigger issue is who guards the post for Holmes? If you have to bring in a JV player to do that, what does that do to your offense?

There is a couple of big bodies on the bench for Holmes that have hardly been used at all this season. One kid was a lineman on the football team, they might be forced to play the younger guys before they planned.

I'd say that Holmes is definitely better off with Rice, but I would not be surprised to see Holmes make a statement and when this one by at least double digits, maybe even 15+.
