Anybody have any stats on the game???????????

I have not seen Highlands this year. After seeing them numerous times last year, it seemed they had some good young talent, but to develop into the kind of team they have become this year, I must admit I am a bit surprised.

 

Hats of to the job Coach Schlarman has done for the Bluebird basketball program. It is obvious you Highlands folks have an outstanding coach although I sure I am not telling you anything you didn't already know.

 

Big win over Station. I would have guessed their quickness would have bothered Highlands.

I read the Vories, Johnson, and Ben G. scored 66 of the 72 pts for the Birds.

Highlights on Lex news channel 27 showed Vories scoring on two nice drives to the basketball. They reported Vories with 22 points. They did not report much more than that. It was nice seeing these highlights as we do not get much NKY basketball coverage from our local TV satations in "Greater Cincinnati". Maybe one marquee game on a Fri night thats about it. Great win for the Birds!

Game was at Lexington Dunbar. Bryan Station is getting a new gym and can't play at home right now.

 

Very physical game, Michael Smith left the game right before half with a concussion. Birds fell behind by as many as 11 but were able to come back in the second half and take Bryan Station out of their game.

 

Hats off to the Birds as they have a 18-2 record in early February. Great coaching job and the kids are really gelling well.

Didn't see game but to go to a top twenty teams back yardand come away with a win is great, hopefully the momentum carries over to tues against the dawgs.
