Given that Corbin still has a scrimmage vs. Harlan County and also plays in week zero I would have to think the session with Somerset is something that is okay with the KHSAA. Especially since neither team was exactly stealthy about it. I can't imagine they were both hoping no one would notice.

Is there a difference in a controlled practice and a scrimmage? I heard the Corbin thing called a controlled practice.

If you start down that slope you're going to likely lose both in the next 20 years. It'll be more like at 7 on 7 passing league before long.

The Somerset Superintendent has told the AD to do whatever he needs to do to get the game scheduled. If they don't play now it is on Pulaski.

I heard that the Briar Jumpers numbers are way down this year. I've heard that they'll dress only around 35 players and have only around 10 sophomores are about 5 freshmen.

They video them and then give feedback/follow up. We talked to them even weeks after the camp.

My son was an offensive lineman in high school but was a 4 year starter at EKU as a longsnapper. He's now in his first season as a special teams coordinator at Wayne County after helping with special teams the past 2 seasons at Somerset. We found that one of the kicking/longsnapping camp companies was very effective in analysis coaching specialists. They were much better than just attending a college's camp. With Beechwood going 10 innings today who will they have available for Somerset on Wednesday?

I'm not sure. Somerset had 2 seeding games with Pulaski this week as well. The one on Tuesday was an 11 inning affair.

Final per the Commonwealth Journal. Somerset wins the 12th Region All A Tournament. The Briar Jumpers move to 11-4 and the Admirals drop to 13-4.

Final per Commonwealth Journal. Somerset moves to the finals to play Danville. Somerset is 10-4 and Washington Country drops to 11-3.

I remembered that happening. We played them twice that year. They beat us at their place rerun we beat them in the CKC tournament at Somerset later in the year. He was injured between the two games. Best wishes for a full recovery.
