  1. This is a tall order for UK. Kyle Field is a very tough place to play, it'll be tougher under the lights. UK can't win this one running Bennie out of the wildcat 30 times. If Wilson throws for 200 yards they pull out a squeaker. I don't think he does and the Aggies take it 24-17.
  2. Impressive win. This team is a little bit easier for me to root for now that certain players have graduated or moved on. Bennie Snell is a lot of fun to watch. They're going to have to get more out of their passing game down the stretch in the SEC but they should be in every game with a chance to win the rest of the way save Georgia.
  3. Flying the L in this one really puts the Cubs up against it. Playing 2 do or die games just to get to the NLDS can't help getting their pitching set up. It will be one heck of a story if they go on a run from here. They can certainly do it but man that's tough.
  4. The hypersensitive culture that we live in is ridiculous. Taking this where it was taken is a huge stretch.
  5. Starting pitching definitely has to be at the top of the list. Castillo looks to have the potential to be a middle of the rotation guy like you said and Disco can be a passable 4-5. From the in-house candidates: Mahle showed flashes of a 4-5 guy as well. How about Lorenzen as a possible starter? I didn't watch him enough to see if his repertoire could play in the rotation. His ERA looked good in his 3 starts but his peripherals weren't the best. This is a place that they absolutely have to improve. Their starters were 28th in baseball in WAR. Also like you said the outfield has to improve. Billy's defense is not worth the damage that he does to the offense--particularly in a bandbox like GABP. The outfield was 26th in WAR last season and a big reason that overall the offense was slightly below average in runs scored. That's unacceptable hitting in the park that they hit in. While their average and OBP trended in the right direction they just didn't have enough pop. Their slugging was 19th which led them to be 3rd in runners left on base. The 2 teams that finished ahead of them in that category finished in the top 10 in runs scored... the Reds were only 18th. Lots of places to improve.
  6. That's still not bad at all given the way the season started out and their recent history.
  7. I found it. It looks like that wasn't counting teams with their own networks. This has then at 15th in prime time market share. Prime-Time TV Ratings For Each Team At The MLB All-Star Break
  8. I wonder if that is amongst just Fox Sports channels and doesn't include teams with their own networks like the Red Sox, Yankees etc?
  9. A 205 run differential isn't due to September call ups. They were eliminated in April. It's how you finish 24 games behind a playoff spot. This team is not close to contending.
  10. Sure. Minor league assignments aren't made until after spring training anyway.
  11. I misread that. I thought it said: Reds are a AA team, will move to Chattanooga.
  12. The bad thing is they'd have to gain 21 games just to be a wild card team. And the other teams in the division are young as well.
  13. From the description of the Scott County- Henry Clay game it sounded like Scott struggled with speed. If that's the case I'll take FD by 14.
  14. It's going to take more than 2 starting pitchers to make up 21 games in the standings. The offense is actually just below the league average in runs scored. It isn't a positive either. The Brewers have scored about 50 more runs than the Reds while allowing 155 less. So yes, the Reds are a lot different than the Brewers. This team is nowhere close to the playoffs.
  15. And you as well. Good luck the rest of the way.
  16. Good, hard fought game. Both offenses made some mistakes but the defense were largely responsible for that. Raceland gave Somerset a 2nd life by trying to pass late and it looked like the Jumpers were going to force overtime after scoring and getting a 2pt conversion. A very poor call on a nice block during a scramble nullified the play. I could see it being called if it were a blind side hit, if he'd have hit him in the head or if the defender were out of the play. However, if he doesn't make that block the defender hits the quarterback. That being said, I thought the Rams got hosed when they had a beautiful 98 yard pass called back. Poor night for the officials but a great game that should help both teams going forward.
  17. Somerset completes a pass for the 2pt conversion. However, one of their lineman was called for a personal foul on a peel back block. Raceland coach was then flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct but that flag was picked up. The 2 point play was attempted from the 18 and broken up. Somerset then recovered an onside kick but was called for a personal foul for running into the Raceland line before the ball got there I guess. The Rams recover the 2nd onsidess attempt. The refs are having a bad day.
  18. Sherron with the touchdown on the sneak. 2pt try upcoming.
  19. Raceland inexplicably tries to pass on 2nd down. Somerset with the sack, strip and recovery. Somerset ball 1st and goal.
  20. Raceland leads 19-11 3:30 to go. The Rams have the ball at their own 4.
  21. Sherron's pass intercepted and returned 75 yards for a Raceland score. Rambler will have to help with the name. Extra point is blocked. Rams lead 19-11 with 7:34 remaining in the game.
  22. Raceland punts. Holding on the return. Somerset starts the drive at the Raceland 47
  23. Somerset forced to punt. Raceland muffs the lint and is dropped at their own 18.
  24. 13-11 starting the 4th. Somerset ball 3rd and 11 from their own 47.
  25. Somerset will start the drive at their own 48.
