  1. I like the Bell County versus Rockcastle County matchup.
  2. I have never seen such inflated heights on players. Some of them are overstated at least two full inches.
  3. He might be overhyped from a statistical standpoint as far as his high school production.....tackles, catches, etc. But let me tell you something, he is not overhyped on a physical level. His size, speed, strength, and power (measured by a legitiment 36 inch vertical jump in one of the combines) is unmatched in Kentucky. College recruiters are looking for upside in a prospect. This kid certainly has a huge upside. Tommy Tuberville and staff are not new to this game.....they know what they are doing and I am sure think Slusher is a real find.
  4. Victor has a good handle. Aaron Boyd is not a guard nor will be ever be.
  5. Didn't see the game, but did Spurrier again make some poor play calls in this game. In the Georgia game, his play calling on the goal line was atrocious. How about that fourth down quarterback sneak from 2 yards out that was totally stuffed? Is Steve losing it?
  6. Brent Slusher at this moment already has the size, speed, and strength to be an outstanding college football player. I have seen him twice and I come away being unimpressed by his play at linebacker. However, Auburn offered him as a tight end and I am told he was phenomenal at their summer camp. With his freakish athletic talent, he might be better at the college level than at the high school level.
  7. The best hit I have seen on any level this season was Tates Creek's bruising fullback Marcus Kader's steamrolling of a poor Jeffersontown free safety in a summer scrimmage game. Ouch! http://www.tatescreekfootball.com/Pictures.htm Click: Scrimmage 2, #1
  8. The complex as is seen in the picture is beautiful! The football field is fantastic. Maybe even more impressive and not revealed in the aerial picture is the fact that this field is totally surrounded by mountains which makes the setting even more impressive. Bleachers are right on top of the field with no soccer or track. It is a fantastic place to watch a football game!
  9. Question: Was it mandatory that the game be completed? Remember, the Bryan Station/Henry Clay game was called in the third quarter and not finished at a later date. Had Woodford County refused to finish the game on Monday (especially after the way they were treated by the Fayette County Board in allowing them to come to Lexington early Saturday morning to attempt to play), what would have happened?
  10. Victor Moses is a junior at Henry Clay and will be one of the top ten players in this state this season. Yes he is that talented! If he becomes more assertive, the sky is the limit for this kid!
  11. I feel Trinity's stadium is certainly the nicest. The Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville is very nice and has a wonderful bermuda playing surface. Belfry's new stadium is excellent. I like Pikeville's complex. Highland's stadium is a neat place to play. Dunbar has a very nice stadium. Henry Clay and Tates Creek are very nice, but the all-aluminum bleachers need a little something, maybe colors, to make them look better. I hear Ashland's stadium is one of the best, but I haven't the pleasure yet.
  12. Tebow looks to be an average passer at best. With all the hype he is getting now, maybe because of the fact he will have great talent around him qualifies him as a future Heisman candidate. I just don't see him holding up in the SEC running as much as he is currently. His passing must improve.
  13. Lafayette's defense must have been steller in Monday night's game. They have some strong linebackers. Stephenson made some big plays from a linebacker position.
  14. Great hold on the poor snap from center on the game winning field goal. Ty Sparks was the holder. Might have been one of his most important plays of the night!
  15. Tim Tebow is almost exclusively a runner at this point in his career. His mechanics throwing the football are atrocious. Urban Meyer and Florida's quarterback coach have a lot of work to do to attempt to make him an outstanding passer. How many quarterback's come to mind who have made it through four years as running quarterbacks in the SEC? I can not think of one off the top of my head. Too much pounding. He is an outstanding athlete. Very strong, but durability running it in the SEC?
  16. How about that block in the back on the punt return? I heard Woodford County's coach about had a coronary on that awful non-call. Big break for Lafayette who I am told looked like the better team on Monday.
  17. The kicker had missed his previous two field goal attempts so Coach Hensley decided to go for it. Not a bad move with Jerrell Greene in the backfield, but it didn't work. I am not sure the Dunbar squad appreciates BGPrep posters attempting to ease their pain by calling them the best 0-6 team in the state. No consolation for these kids in my opinion.
  18. A combination of A and B. Actually a little more B than A.
  19. Final.......Henry Clay 42 Bryan Station 0 Game called by lightning with about 3:30 left in the third quarter. The principal's of the two schools decided it would not be finished at a later date. Final.
  20. Do you mean age or grade? Isn't Ricky another of those South Laurel athletes who are "redshirted" in the 8th grade?
  21. I do not know if he will win it or not, but a win over Lexington Catholic would have really helped his cause.
  22. Henry Clay wins for the second straight week on a come-from-behind touchdown in the last minute. This is not very good football, in my opinion. The fans enjoy it in August, September, October. It does not win games in November against Louisville teams. Is Mike Major coordinating Henry Clay's defense?
  23. Dunbar might win this game, but they will not shut out Woodford County.
