Based on a long term facility plan that seems to have just been done, the school district is planning for a second high school with chance of second school not having a football game field, like the high school and a big upgrade, including field turf on Miller field. When that happens, guess about a decade from now. For the time being, knowing about the youth programs and a discussion to make a new field at the new elementary field, seems the school district has a long term plan in place. So the field complex will continue to be maxed out.

I guess the rules for posting incorrect or false information does not apply in this thread!

Sounds like mustang has it wrong. I also talked to many at the 10th region tournament and none mentioned the story quoted but actually was told it was old news rumor from last year and nothing to it. Wonder why it was brought up again. Makes you want to say

Mustang, glad you said rumor and if he did resign it would be well known by now. I know for a fact this sad rumor mil has brought out many questions and thoughts from several people who "want to know what is going on". But don't you worry mustang green does not mix well with purple and it would be purple's choice to decide not green with desire. But the fact is you do not know what is going on at all. Rumor is just that. However, I did recall how defensive you were when it was rumored about a prior mustang coach was leaving. So I can understand your sensitivity with your posting.

Campbell will be a load for the next few years. What does the mustangs have in the pipeline going forward?

as good as those young men were they were still as skinny as they were as freshmen in the senior year. But they did play aau. If that made any difference at all.

campbell county parents don't meddle?! Are you kidding? It is something to watch, more than a game to see how they talk about how their kids are cheated and not coached proper, etc. I bet Jones, the AD has already gotten phone calls from a few and some want meetings. I bet some have already spoke out of both sides of their mouth to school administrators but pretend to be the coach friend and team supporter. I bet parents in the girl side are doing the same. For Sullivan, that is probably more to do with poor math than parents.

Hope not! But I did hear the rumors and I have to think it's nothing more than some wishful and frustrated parents talking.

Scott has to be the favorite. The team plays very aggresive and pressing. This style is hard for Campbell to work against. The problem for Campbell is the weak middle. The sophmore that got hurt really hurts the Camels.

Sorry everybody. I feel my question caused a big deal. But it is very telling the question never addressed but a lot of "well, what about this..." type of commentary. If it is the culture of Bishop Brossart to accept a school leader, the athletic director to walk around gesturing to officials, do from behind the scorer table, that is their business. But, for the life of me for a program that wants to be all that it claims there is no way anyone with any sense of professionalism would conduct themselves this way. There was another post who said name another 10th region AD who does this and you can't. Matter of fact, you are probably pressed to name one in the entire state. It is just something people in those positions should not do. However, if this is how Brossart leadership wishes to conduct themselves, that is their choice. And to add if the Camel students made these chants (and it sounds like they did) off an injury, great job to the parent who set it straight. But where was the Camel leadership on this? Should have been taking care of it but I do not think they would have been making issues with the refs.

Good win for camels. During the game though and seen this before, should the Brossart AD be so animated in the game with ref calls, including walking along the baseline indicating his opinion of the call? Does the Brossart principal do this? I think it takes away from the standard that Brossart is and is a little unprofessional. There is no other AD I witnessed do this.

Isn't the issue with the players who should have stepped up this season have not been doing any work during the offseason and it now shows? It is amazing to me how easy the inside of Campbell is pushed around except for the soph. center. He holds his own and there is no question he is working and lifting. What program is this soph. center in to have his build? He is clearly working at it. The sad bottom line for this team is the parents. No one can go to a game without hearing all the complaining going on. Unfortunately, the kids hear it and it does not help.

It is interesting to watch the camels develop. The sophmores playing, not sure their names are really making a difference. They will make a difference if campbell makes a run in post season. I am still surprised at the lack of physical development of the older camels. Team is just not strong at all.

The word is some Camel sophmores are stepping up and could help out. It is hard to win with underclassmen leading the charge.

This school system is the last stop for the dead wood school employees of Northern Kentucky. Brandt has cleared out most of the good old boys in Newport, about time. Look for yourself, see all the names of the administrators involved. With all that record things should happen at Holmes but it doesn't. The superintendent of Covington has been politically active for so long he has forgot to make schools better. Personally, having strong feelings about the school I would like for the state to take it over and review all the options, including forced retirement of many administrators.

That may be but it was he who did the raw deal, not Campbell.

The raw deal and the funny use of terms DMZ76 about "school funded" teams is one funny and sad comment. Created by the man's own making and deserving of his own fate.

Herschel Turner from Campbell County has number retired at UK not at St. Louis where he now lives after a few years in NFL. Jim Minshall of Newport Catholic pitched for Pirates for couple years and maybe part of year with Seattle. Jack Gearding played at Xavier and then in pro, a Campbell grad. I am thinking Lee Lemos from Campbell had a short stint in the pro but not sure. Also, Ed Ziegler from New Cath go on to NFL? Story goes the class of 1966 at New Cath had a pro in baseball, football and basketball in that senior group. Not sure if true or not.

I think the camel faithful should worry about their own vs. making comments about other programs. Campbell County needs to worry about someone who can shoot the ball instead of throw the ball to the basket. Very weak inside and only a little outside shooting. But the sophmores playing show great promise. Time to start them on varsity. The older Camels are simply not getting it done.

Hopefully the mustangs have not peaked to soon.
