By the way, who do you give any credit to about the rubber base done last year and the bermuda put in for this year? Also, everyone of the schools you use for your arguement should have some improvement. How many millions have been spent on them over the past few years. It is great to hear you think an attempt to sod the field back in the 90s is your idea of good job.:banana:

You got to love those who look at things in the mirror instead of what is coming ahead. Fan is right if the answer is to keep things the way it always operated at. The job is not needed. But, since this is a posting site for athletics the question begs does fan really think Campbell County has been a force in anything? Yes there is one sport, but I wonder what the old ad was the coach of too? :sssh: Last check from my nephew who is in middle school, there is now a 3/4 and 5/6 grade team, along with 7/8 in football alone. Checking, come to find out this was done by Roberts. There is a bunch of middle school programs, cross country, track, more basketball teams, checking, come to find out this was done by Roberts and the middle school principal is giving public credit to. I think fan has ties to the past that makes him less than objective. But, I do have a question for him. He stated the ad is an administrator and things at the football field was trying to be done for years. So the question is for years who was the ad trying to get it done and who was the ad who got it done in just a year or two? Will call this question the last look in the mirror.

If you think working with people who go out of their way to make you fail is an easy job, you do not have much work experience. PVC posted an excellent review of the situation at Campbell in another thread. To call it easy is posting without knowing the facts. You may want to check your info on this. The high school ad position is the easy one. Work for 100 days with full index to pad retirement and I just learned that job was suppose to include a teaching position at the school?! Talk about easy street.

This is the wave of the future. A decent sports coach is not a good athletic director. This is a very true statement for most circumstances. I stand by my prior statements that most districts want to make changes but cannot until the end of the road ex-coach now AD retires. I think this is exactly what needs to happen. The list is very short of AD who are ex-coaches that do a great overall job. I think this is exactly why Mr. Roberts did well in a short period of time. Thanks for thumbs up silver

You might be hearing wrong. The Campbell district position is a great change from the past. Kenton has added an elementary AD position. I hear others have really looked at how this is working and want to make changes. The problem for some districts is the current dead weight Ad they have in the job now. The time for change is coming. The tenured coach who gets the extra AD job money is really a dying breed. It should be. After spending more than a few years at Campbell some time ago and watching the past two years, it is great how much things have changed by the outgoing ad. Hopefully the next person will continue to expand and tap into the real potential of Camel athletics vs. the old ways of passing the title to the next in line person. All I can say to this Mr. Roberts is a very good job. The football field alone from its ground material, a new scoreboard, remodel of the announcer booth, landscape fix up around the trees and the memorial work. This type of stuff needed done years ago and this guy got it done right away.

While at the Campbell practices this week, spoke to Coach Styer and later was able to talk w/ people very involved with Campbell County. There is a fact vs. fiction issue that Mr. Green and many Brossart people need to know. Seems that 2 years ago the BB football planners got with CC AD and super. The question was asked if it was "possible" to use A field for a couple of JV games. The fields in question was the practice fields at Campbell high school. That was it. Recently, BB announced its program but also announced dollar amounts to use the field at Campbell. Seems the Brossart planners ran to super and explained it away as mistake, nothing really to it, etc. and they (brossart) do not even know if it was going to happen just yet. Turns out that is the full extent of the BB effort to use Campbell County. It was pointed out on here there are already conflicting dates. Seems BGGreen and Mustang (on his site) are trying to make Campbell out as the bad guys and paint it as if there is a big problem. As stated to me by someone very, very close to Campbell operations - Brossart committee was given a form to fill out for request of the field, over a year ago. Seems they never have bothered to turn it in! If this is true, the access of the field is not really a question because it was never requested!

Then you have a course to set about your job to get brossart a home field. Best of luck. But you may want to think about your attitude towards Campbell. Wear it on your sleeve you could be out of luck.

Interesting how mr. green seems to not acknowledge his options for the football team. Just wants to blame others for his circumstances to schedule home games. Isn't St. Mary and Brossart the same group? where is that love for each other? Interesting, indeed. Fabricating? Doubtful, just factual. Unless you are saying they cant play at pendry or st, mary, then that makes my point. You fire shots all the time and claim otherwise when you are called out.

Did it ever dawn on the Brossart committee to get an agreement first before assuming the ability to play. Anyone in Alexandria and that probably includes most of Claryville can see new grass was planted and doing quite well. You have a field at St. Mary and it is common knowledge the boosters there will not let you use. How about down at your soccer field at pendry park? You have options but instead of lack of planning for where to play you now want to make it Campbell Co. problem. The people at Campbell Co have been more than fair. Unless of course you are dealing with the high school. That may well be a different story. This site allows for people to express opinions, you give it too much credit to think bluegrass preps plays a role in how things turn out

I agree, except in this case I see Campbell County repeating the same old steps and the same old names. For a bit, Campbell was looking ahead but it was the same old names making waves. Look, for a time it is easy to ignore the past until the current and future leave. Being retired it is silly to me to see the likes of Jones, who actually dislikes parents with a passion back at a school he made fun about just a few years ago while at Newport. As for the super, I know enough to say the super deals with the principal so he is in a position to do something about it and that must not be the case at Campbell.

Why? Because you have a short, little, wrestling coach who backstabbed the AD every step of the way with the help of the principal who has a major insecurity problem. That is why. Mustang, when BBHS asks about anything in the future, hope you know these two will flat out be lying to your face.

ballerm, you are to be thanked for your efforts. But, tell me, honestly can you claim your experience with the high school leaders to be cooperative or not. At one time, I was you but after awhile putting up with the likes of Miller, Gross, Jones and Mohr, why bother. They had zero interest in anything to improve. All they wanted was the increase in their pay for the next year. Please tell me, do I have it wrong?

Wow! Yet, Jones stays around to pad his retirement? What is the school thinking? I see Campbell County going nowhere fast, once again. History is repeating itself. Same as it was when I was there 20 years ago. Place still seems to be the inbred education building.

As I said, you may want to rethink your point. Words from your own crowd was embarassing and out of hand. Those were words about your fans and your coach from your fans and your coach. As to the why questions, you need to take that up with the those who did the game. It sounds like a loud conversation was going on. Maybe your questions could be yelled out?

You may want to rethink this entire arguement. Grandpa made a XXX of himself. Was it the short man syndrome coming out? Before you jump my line, please know my perspective is being drawn straight out of your team's dugout. Not everyone shares your perspective. The fact is the pitcher on the other team shut your team down and someone else had to be the blame. Also, if the other umpire was so good, why did he NOT call the balk if it was a balk? Stay focused on the next game instead. You guys still have a chance to win the tournament. But, I can tell you this come into the finals and if you go to Blue Ash, your parents and grandpa there will find a very quick trip to the parking lot if the same kind of anger comes to the fence. Rest assured about that.

If this is true, then where was the school leadership to make a change. The old superintendent took a lot of heat for doing this. Since then athletics at campbell is very positive. Sounds like a lot of good came out of the controversy of a few years ago.

There has to more to this story. I know Superintendent Blavatt and there is not one parent in the entire Boone system that can get him to take action unless he felt it necessary to do so. He is not pressured by the Boone parents in any fashion. There is no question the coach knows exactly what the issue is. There is no question the superintendent made it very clear to him. Anyone who works in Boone system knows all to well how direct the superintendent can be.
