Tiger1 Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 This is a semi-final game of the 37th districts and will be played at CC Middle School at 7:30pm on 2/27. The Eagles come in with momentum after beating Pendleton Co and Holy Cross on the road. These two team met a while back at Scott and the Eagles put in on the Camels. I do feel this game might be a little closer than the last one, but Campbell has no answer for Sharp, Miller, and Smith. Scott marches on to Saturday nights district final. Scott by 13

Scott by 13 After seeing Scott and Campbell play, you are being much to kind.....to Campbell County.....
SirMixAlot Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 After seeing Scott and Campbell play, you are being much to kind.....to Campbell County..... I agree, but you have to take in to consideration that it is tournament time, and Campbell has improved a bunch since the last time these two plays, with that said, The Camels years will be next year and the following. Scott's seniors lead them to victory. Scott- 72 CC-61
4pointplay Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Scott still misses Quigley but still has too much for CampCo. Sharp has a big game and Scott wins by 10...70-60.
polarbear1994 Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Scott takes the W... They may make some noise at the Fieldhouse, depending on thier draw.
ballerm Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Agree that at this time the edge is to Scott, Camels played a lackluster game last time they met and have improved since then. The Camels are capable of beating this team IF everyone steps it up and plays to their potential. Need a big game from the seniors, their height and leaping ability can be a factor. Camels will miss sophomore Petey Albrecht who is out with a shoulder separation, he could have been the difference in the game. I do not see Campbell Co playing zone on the Eagles as we did the last time. Whatever the outcome, Coach Carr has prepared his team and his team has produced for him. He needs to be congratulated. We have seen him so many times at our games this year knowing that it would come down to this. This is a family affair for him since his nephew, Jordan Parks, is the Camel's starting point guard. But at this game, Grandma Wannie will wear both blue and purple as she cheers for her son and grandson. I think the Camels will make this a close game. Scott has all the pressure on them and the Camels have nothing to lose. This game will be decided by the intensity, desire and pride exhibited by the Camels.

Campbell probably has improved, but a 26 point improvement? I don't think so. If Campbell does play man this time instead of a zone, Sharp will have a monster game as there is no one on Campbell that can guard him and he will get to the basket or dish out to Miller or Smith for open jumpers.

I don't disagree that Campbell has improved, but I just don't think it has been a 26 point improvement. IMO: In order for Campbell to win this game, Scott would need a complete meltdown and that is not going to happen because of their seniors and Coach Carr. Scott has also improved quite a bit since they played Campbell.
Stayinline Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Scott has to be the favorite. The team plays very aggresive and pressing. This style is hard for Campbell to work against. The problem for Campbell is the weak middle. The sophmore that got hurt really hurts the Camels.

CountryBoy7 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Scott by 12 as they start there road to the Fieldhouse..
BredFan Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I'll take Scott pulling away in the second half. Coach Carr and Reitz will be prepared for one another. I believe Campbell can win without a Scott meltdown, but it will take their perfect game. Good luck to all players and coaches in this one.

I didn't realize he had a nephew that plays for CCHS. Ryan Ernst or Terry Boempker (sp?) should do an article about this.
