Anyone care to take a crack at predicting what the districts would look like? Who would be the major contenders in 5A other than Bowling Green?

Ballard has wins over J-town and Oldham Co. Those teams play each other this week, so Ballard is guaranteed another point in that game. If Ballard beats Bryan Station, they will have at 14 points.

I think the problem is the KHSAA is placing accountability in the wrong place. The accountability should be with the athlete that participates in a fight. Unless it can be shown the AD, the coaches or the school administration have not acted appropriately, there should be no fine to the school or AD.

Officials who keep the play clock on the field are wildly inconsistent. They "keep the time" by counting, without the aid of a stop watch. I regularly see teams that are given 5 - 10 extra seconds before each play.

As a Catholic, I was concerned to read some of the claims above, so I did a little research. According to the link below, the Vatican invited Tebow to participate in a conference on good values in sports. If the Vatican is ok with Tebow, I am too. I don't think the coach is complaining about Open House. Many schools in Jefferson County have an Open House. I don't think that is a recruiting violation. If that is the allegation, there is no need to investigate. Trinity (like many others schools) would agree that it has an open house. It would clearly be easier for others to form an opinion if the coach had been more clear. It looks to me like certain middle school kids have been invited to come to Trinity to "try out" (ie., participate in) the strength program. I don't know whether that is true this year or not. If it is true, I wonder whether it is against the rules.

I'm not sure why everyone is so scared to say it. Here's what I think he means: He is saying that some gifted 8th grade player(s) in North Bullitt's district have been approached to come and try out the strength program at Trinity. A recruiting allegation was filed was KHSAA, but KHSAA has not completed it's investigation.

You are correct about PRP in 2011, but Fern Creek was a first round playoff game in 2010.

This is not the same Ballard team that blew a 13 point lead in the fourth quarter last year. Should be a fun game tonight!

Keep in mind that list is for all sports, it includes schools which don't offer football and it includes all girls schools. The different dynamic at play is that private schools don't play for the state championship in that state. Those schools create their own conferences and play for conference championships. By the way, some of those conferences include schools from out of state. Dematha and Good Counsel play in a conference with Gonzaga and St. John's, both of which are located in Washington, D.C. The arrangment doesn't preclude private schools from playing public schools during the regular season or from playing out of state schools.
