This is the most ridiculous post I have read on here in a while. I am not sure what your angle is, but I know the FC coaches don't play favorites. Chalk never has. I am not sure what you think the best product is, but the team on the floor as FHS was making their run was FC's best. Hicks, Hicks, Meyer, Hines and Ammons were the group in when FHS started making their run, the FCHS starting line-up. Coaching can get you so far, but eventually the players have to play. Down the stretch the FC players turned it over in ridiculous ways, and one of their top defenders got ran out on several times. Finally give FHS some credit. EJ Fields played a whale of a game, and Jouett hit some huge shots, that he doesn't typically make. Your post sounds like a parent whose kid is not getting as much time as you would like. Support your program, it is on the rise. This was a bump along the way. Don't forget, that just 4 years ago FCHS was 2-24 at the beginning of a massive rebuilding project. And next year the Flyers return 2 or their top 3 scorers, some other solid sophomores, and a Freshmen class that just won the 11th region title. The future looks bright.

Flyers seem to be peaking at the right time. They won a hard fought game tonight, and have been playing better and better over the last few weeks. They will need all the momentum they can get heading into the 41st District, and hopefully on to the incredibly tough 11th region tournament.

Anderson County @ Franklin County
It will be senior night for the Flyers. They will send off 7 seniors tonight. If you choose to start the seniors, how do you pick which 5 to start? FCHS Seniors Kaelin Ammons Michael Scott Cy Hines Andrew Fields Eric May Demetrius Hicks Ryan Todd Should be a good game. Any predictions?

Flyers dominated this one beginning with the JV game. After tip off of that game, neither was ever in question. Balanced attack, good passing, good defensive pressure, and few turnovers. A very good overall game for the Flyers. They appear to be putting in together at the right time.

I would have to say they are starting to play their basketball right now. They played two of the top teams in the region and state this week, and were right there in the game till the very end. A call here or shot there and they win them. They are the favorite for the district, which a win in the 41st would allow them to play a first round region game at home. Get to the final four, and who knows what happens. Thats the beauty of tournament time!

Lex Cath vs Lafayette Incident
They showed the video of the incident on WLEX-18 news last night. She was under the basket and threw a 2-handed chest pass right at the girl, hitting her in the stomach. She then stepped jumped inbounds and went after the loose ball. It didn't look particularly flagrant to me, but I obviously wasn't there.

The incident the other day shouldn't have had anything to do with this. Besides, it was a completely different 3-man crew that did the game last night.

The stat is correct. The refs decided they would be front and center in this one. 63 fouls called in this one. Both teams were in the bonus with 4:30 to go in the 3rd quarter. It got to the point that in the second half, if you missed a shot, there must be a foul. A little ridiculous.

They thought that last year too! But Madison Central wasn't listening!:sssh:

I believe it is the home team's choice. For tourneys it is set, there are always 3. However it is up to each team to decide what they wish for their home games. In the 41st District, all 4 teams decided a couple of years ago to have 3 officials for all district games(regular season & tourney), and Franklin County went to 3 officials for all their games the same season.

Meyer had 11 points. This Hick brothers led FCHS. Deron with 14 and Demetrius with 18. Sparks had 23, 15 off of free throws.

I am not sure of the exact positioning of the refs, other than one was right beside the incident. As far as the player goes, FC's trainer did a great job of closing the cut on #22's eye. She immediately iced the eye, and continued to do so at every time out. It was never fullly shut, but did swell quite a bit, and was blackening up by the end of the game. As far as a safety issue, she checked him out fully, and allowed him to go back in the game. I am quite sure that if she was worried about safety, she would not have allowed him back on the court. I even saw her talking to the player's mom before he went back in.

Matt Walls- Mr. Basketball?
If that is true, then I think it was a great move. It should matter what you do for your team as a senior. If you can lead them to the Rupp, and even win a championship, it should help your case to win Mr. Basketball.

If that is the best, it doesn't say much for our state.

Matt Walls- Mr. Basketball?
If the voting was done after the state tournament, then AJ Slaughter would have won last year. With the voting occuring before the state tourney, I think it is a two horse race between Stephon Pettigrew and Ty Proffitt. Profitt may have the upper hand because he has been at the state tourney the past few years and his team won it with him starting at the point guard position as a sophomore. It is all about exposure, and their is no bigger stage than Rupp Arena in March.

As far as the game goes, I though FC had a great game plan. They just seemed to go bezerk in the final 3 minutes and self-destructed. Credit Tates Creek defense as they turned up the pressure at the end to get the victory. FC's guards played great all game, but suddenly looked very timid and soft in the final 3 minutes.

Totally agree with you on this one. One ref was standing a foot from the play, and didn't call it. When #22 finally stood up, he had blood across his face, and down his jersey, and they give a T to the coach when he questions them about it. Overall, officiating in the 11th has been incredibly poor this season. I am not using this to make excuses for a loss for any team, just an observation as a whole.

Estill Co.
Sorry! Thought it might be relevant to some of their recent problems. Against Franklin County, they just seemed frozen at times. They looked as though they had never played against a press, and they took a lot of bad shots. It may have been due to their youth as others have stated above. #23 played pretty well in the JV game that night, and then he started the varsity game. Not sure what year he is, but he seems to be on the right track.

You have got to be better than what the 10th & 11th are putting on the floor!

Central Hardin(22-2): How good are they??
They are good and have a pretty good scorer in Andre Miller, but I don't think they are a state title contender. I think they are good enough to win their region, but not enough to win a state title.

They got at least one crazy parent. He went after the coach at the FCHS game and had to be escorted from the gym.

Hey Estill Fan, What was the disturbance that went on during the game. Was that a parent that went after the coach? Just caught the end of the confrontation when he was being escorted out, and the player walking out.
