If that stat is accurate - I'm glad I wasn't at this ballgame.

That was the stats that the radio announcer read. Aaron Morris was 15-22 from the charity stripe.

The stat is correct. The refs decided they would be front and center in this one. 63 fouls called in this one. Both teams were in the bonus with 4:30 to go in the 3rd quarter. It got to the point that in the second half, if you missed a shot, there must be a foul. A little ridiculous.

Is the game a final yet...or will it be completed today :-(

Must have been a seriously long game.

There is absolutely no reason that many fouls should be called or free throws attempted in a high school basketball game...That is ridiculous.

Wasn't there a thread a few days ago about an elbow that was thrown at a Franklin Co. player? Maybe that had something to do with it. It's still rediculous. Are you allowed to say who the officials were on BGP?

The incident the other day shouldn't have had anything to do with this. Besides, it was a completely different 3-man crew that did the game last night.

You can talk about a situation as long as it doesn't personally name any officials or is not a violation of any site rules.

Do you think the stuff we vent about sometimes on Bluegrass Preps has that much influence? It did sort of seem like we were at a Sunday free throw contest.

To many free throws is obviously a problem, but when it's that lopsided there has to be a problem. MC takes it to the rack strong but to go to the line that many times someone was looking for something.

Has FC played its best baskteball for the year or is there a chance of them getting better this year?

I would have to say they are starting to play their basketball right now. They played two of the top teams in the region and state this week, and were right there in the game till the very end. A call here or shot there and they win them. They are the favorite for the district, which a win in the 41st would allow them to play a first round region game at home. Get to the final four, and who knows what happens. Thats the beauty of tournament time!

Absolutely not, but if we are talking about it - I'm sure the refs are talking about it. Those guys are friends and try to help each other out.

I talked to the asst. coach from Franklin Co. tonight and I did find out who the refs were for the Madison Central/Franklin Co. game. One un-named official in particular was exactly who I thought it was - and it explains everything. I am willing to bet he had no knowledge of the previous incident because even the other refs won't talk to this guy. He's a whistle hog.
