  1. Grimm for JC fumbles and Ashland recoveres on the 20.
  2. Ashland stops JC on 3 downs but a 15 yard penalty for a blow to the head gives JC a 1st down. Ashland already has 5 penalties for 40 yards.
  3. Ashland is stopping Grimm right now. He has 8 carries for 13 yards with 6 min to go in half
  4. Ashland inside the 10 turns it over on downs. Mahan is not on throwing the ball. He continues to overthrow his recievers.
  5. End of 1st JC 7 Ashland 0 Mahan fumbles on the 2 and JC recoveres in endzone
  6. Raceland 35 - 14 Congrats on a great regular season and good luck in the playoffs.
  7. Russell 42 - 14 Congrats on a great regular season and hopefully another long run through the playoffs.
  8. There is no reason we should have cancelled this game. Football is to be played in all weather conditions. You can't blame it on the senior nite activities as last years senior night was held in a monsoon. The only reasons I can think of is the gate money and the parking. All the parking lots are dirt and full of ruts. They are now mud. This is my main gripe about games. It looks bad on us when we can't provide ample parking for the fans attending the games.
  9. Ashland made the necessary personel changes to give them the best chance to win. They did that by putting Mahan in at quarterback and changed some linemen around and have been relying more on the running game. Had they not made these changes I still believe they would have lost to Belfry and Russell. I'm glad they won these because they were great confidence builders and the kids would have been really down had they lost both of these. Ashland is becoming a good football team. There are still several players out injured. Some of these are starters and others play alot. Get everyone healthy and keep improving and see what happens when district play starts.
  10. You're right on this post. It was an exciting game, but both coaches will look at the film and know they have some work to do with the turnovers, missed opportunities and untimely penalties.
  11. I believe it was a combination of both, but it was also the hardest Matt has ran the ball. He did not seem timid when he was about to get hit like he has some in the past.
  12. Both teams played a hard fought ballgame tonight and it was a shame that one had to loose. It looked like Ashland had all the O line back for this game and they opened some holes for Matt. I hope this is a beginning for more good things to come. Keep the turnovers down and this will be a good offense.
  13. He seemed ok. He walked off the field and returned to the game a few plays later.
  14. Was this a decision made by Ashland or was this an agreement between the two schools?
  15. Yes you did, but just for your information the ref crew was not a local crew. The crew for this game was assigned by the KHSAA and they were out of Central Ky. There were not enough local crews to cover all of the home games in the area tonight.
  16. I've been to Russell and watched many games. Their fans have more class than that. They would never throw rocks at us.:jump:
  17. I believe we will be a better team at the end of the season keeping Mahan at quarterback and letting him get his confidence. I know Drew would much rather be out at wide receiver than quarterback.
  18. Congrats to the Rams on another victory. It looks like some of the other kids stepped it up without Beach tonight. Good luck the rest of the season.
  19. Nice win for the cats. I thought the O Line played much better tonight. We seemed to play better out of the spread offense. I thought Mahan did a good job runnung the team. He had some nice runs and his passing states would have been much better if it wasn't for some dropped balls. Belfry played a good game. Good luck the rest of the season.
  20. You got the score right, but I believe Sheldon Clark won
