  1. Thought Tony G. did a nice job filling in. First two series were TD's. I really liked the SHORT pass to the TE in the flat and let the big guy pick up some nice yards after the catch. I believe they ran that play for a TD late in the game.
  2. Yea, I was in the endzone where he kicked it and it had PLENTY of room to spare. What a great weapon. Even against the strong wind he was putting the ball into the endzone. Any reason Clay didn't play early.
  3. I think you are correct. I don't remeber seing him playing any defense in the first half or did I just miss him.
  4. Thought Dixie had momentum on their side late in the 1st half, Dixie does the smart thing and lets clock run down to 20 seconds and then try a field goal but miss. Highlands throws one deep down to 31 and Bathiany drills a 47 yarder and go into the half on a high note.
  5. Congratulations and good luck at Louisville. Another great recruit from KY. for Coach Walz and staff. Louisville keeps on getting better every year and now is the premier women's program in the state. With Reid, Rucker, Howard and I'm sure others to follow, this year's recruiting class might go down as the best class in Louisiville history.
  6. Can anyone confirm where?
  7. Congrats to Monique on choosing UL. Link in C-J.
  8. Wasn't there one year that the game ended in a tie? Maybe in 88? Can some of the oldtimers recall this game?
  9. Just curious about the talent level of both teams. I have seen neither team play this year but saw Queen and Terry play over the years and wonder how a team with one player worthy of Ms. Basketball and going to an up and coming MTSU team and Terry who is going to UL can have less talent then Russell. Those two players alone on any team IMO would make them Regional favorites in most regions in KY. Add to that some posters feel that Faulkner should have made first team then you have a team with 3 first team all region players.
  10. Listening to 1050 and they are ripping the officals..."Holmes has not gotten a fair shake tonight" is one of many comments they have said. Tie game 52-52
  11. Team in the upper bracket wears home jersey. Set by KHSAA. I guess that just decreases the chance of both teams bringing the same type of uni's.
  12. I checked the KHSAA website about ticket prices but couldn't find anything in the regional tournament forms about ticket prices. I think clearing the gym makes sense but it should have been posted and announced the first night after each game was over that the gym would be cleared. Lack of communication is the biggest complaint IMO.
  13. I think HHS started out in zone but the turnovers on offense led to several fastbreak points and once they got behind they had to come out of the zone.
  14. I would think that the price and who got charged 6.00 would have been agreed upon by all participating members at the Regional Draw. Clearing the gym was probably addressed also at the draw. I agree about the concessions. Only thing I didn't like is seeing former Highlands QB and basetball player Jeff Kremer working it.
  15. How did Klie play? She was a joy to watch the last two years and it's a shame she couldn't get to state one more time. Good luck at Ball State.
  16. Didn't see a sign either.. Also never saw an entire student body allowed on the floor at halftime either. Would they ever let that happen at the Boy's Regional?? Very poor game management IMO.
  17. Congratulations Holmes and Coach Hill. Coach Hill has done a great job this year and her team has improved all year and is playing it's best basketball of the year when it matters. It will take a great game tomorrow night but I have seen stranger things happen. Looking forward to watching and all 35 District final.
  18. Holmes up three at the half.
  19. Four words summed up this game.. Bigger, Faster, Stronger, Better. HHS had no answer down low in the second half against Drees and Dickman. Dickman powered herself to 3 offensive rebounds on foulshots that resulted in 6 points. Second half ND got the transition game going and got several baskets off tournovers and just beating the birds down the court. For 2 quarters and 7 minutes the Birds were in this ball game. Down 4 with a minute left in the third and ND outscores them by 3 to take a 7 point lead which was huge. I felt if Highlands could keep in under 4 they had a slim shot of pulling off the upset. Tiereny had a great second half, struggled from the foul line-I lost several in the lights with that high, I mean high arching shot. Overall the better team won tonight. Positive for HHS is that they return 37 out of the 39 points scored tonight and got a taste of what it's like to play in a regional semifinal game. Work hard this summer girls and you will be a team to reckon with next year. Good luck ND tomorrow night.
  20. Don't understand the question... Like I said it will take a perfect game for HHS to win but you should know the favorite doesn't always win. I can remember someone last year stating that Boone would win the Region three strait years and that Nell wouldn't let her team be beat... Want to take a quess who said that??
