Let's be real here. How many folks on the west coast will even tune in for this game? I agree that's why it's done, but I doubt too many will care.

I'm one of those 7.9% with UConn picked to win. In my work bracket, I went from 14th place to 3rd with last night games. A UCONN win on Monday will get me 2nd place.

I just watched a 3 minute YouTube video on setting a good screen because I wanted to see if he mentioned what would be called as an illegal screen. He did in fact say that spreading the feet excessively wide, more so than shoulder width and having the arms crossed with the elbows out would both be called as illegal screens.

NC State made a bit of a run to close out the half but Purdue also responded when necessary.

Unless Clark goes off for 50 they won't. I'd expect South Carolina to dominate the paint.

To an extent, my buddy who knows nothing about basketball thought you can't have your elbows up during a screen, which I didn't catch the first time. I'd say that's what did it. On first look, I thought it was a no call, but I understood a little bit more after seeing how the screen was set and where her arms were. Still a tough call to make.

I know people tend to notice this a lot with Iowa but they are undersized and will attack off the dribble which I think helps with that. Iowa did catch some phantom foul calls against them in first half.

Clark has struggled shooting. But every time she tries to pass it to a teammate it results in a turnover. Ugly first half for Iowa.

Sitting on the plane waiting. The pilot said they have two wait 15 minutes from the last lightning strike before planes can begin departing again. If that doesn't happen soon, I don't see us leaving CVG before 4:30. This sucks.

It's possible, but I still think UConn wins it all. This helped give me a shot in my work bracket, I've got Purdue vs UConn in the title game.

It will be interesting to see where this ends up in 5-10 years. But no doubt about it, if you're a guy that is a starter/stud at one school, there is a very good chance the transfer portal will show you what your market value is at another school with NIL. It also doesn't mean you must transfer. On a side note, we talked about Thiero in particular today at work. Unless he truly wants to transfer because he isn't happy, worried about playing time etc. Him entering the transfer portal will undoubtedly give him a chance to see what his NIL value is at UK. I'm sure he will get $$$$ numbers on what the folks in Lexington are willing to give him to stick around at Kentucky. I'd LOVE to have him back at UK, his physical play in the SEC is very valuable and I like the way he plays.

Especially with NIL. I'm still shocked that Clark is going to leave after this season. Perhaps some of her sponsors would rather her be in the WNBA.

I think this hire just goes to show how the coaching landscape is right now. Not a lot to choose from and the top choices are happy where they are. I'd say that had a lot to do with why Calipari is back at Kentucky.

Iowa scrapes by. The Hawkeyes tried to give this one away but West Virginia couldn't pull it off. This one was a lot closer than the final score indicated. West Virginia tied Iowa at 50 late in the game but couldn't do much more.

Just listened to the first few minutes. He said he hasn't met with Barnhardt yet and thinks that he will tomorrow. That's all I really needed to hear, so turned it off.
