As always with the KHSAA it all comes down to dollars!!! This decision is about big business and how it can expand the profit base for the fat cats that run the athletic programs for this state. Is just a way of trying to difuse the private - public debate without having to address it.

Holmes is a district game, HS coachs want to win district games.

Beechwood mad it 2 and 0 with a 11 to 4 win over Sand Creek High School from Michigan. Tiger scored 9 runs in the first 2 innings and coasted over a team that was on the field for the first time. After th game Sand Creek continued on to Atlanta for a week of spring break baseball. v

The better team won but wow What a big difference in foul shots. 4 Starters for Beechwood foul out, none from Holmes seems strange considering that Holmes was all over Romes the whole game. Great season for Beechwood and congradulations to Holmes

Somebody better check their schedule, Beechwood does have to play it's conference schedule they all play Cov Cath, Boone Co, Ryle, Conner(2), Dixie, Campbell Co. locally they also scheduled Madisonville North Hopkins, Harrison Co, Hancock Co. Sand Lake Michigan, and they are in the Etown wood bat tournament. So much for no wolves!! Check last year they also played Cincinnaati St. X, check St. Henry's schedule they take all comers also. When all is said and done to win the region soft schedule or not they have to be the teams that have ninety at their tryouts, not that numbers are everything but the more that show the better chance you have of having talent.

Ryle. Boone Co. Conner, Cov. Cath. Dixie, etc. will cut more players than Ludlow, Beechwood, etc. will have tryout. I am sure there are players at Cov Cath (and other schools) that are cut that could start for many of the smaller high schools, because of the breakdown in players/per class Beechwood plans to keep every able body that shows up.

Unreal from what I heard Beechwood had less than 30 total for tryouts!!!

A lot of variables when counting pitches, type of pitcher, weather condition, score of game, number of days rest before next start, number of days rest since last start, age of pitcher,does the pitcher play other positions the day before or 2 days after he pitches, what part of the season early spring - middle of summer.
