At the East/West All-Star game, a couple of the Scott players had on metallic blue helmets with matching facemasks. Those should look good. Jeremy Addington and Dara Webb from Lloyd had on really dark navy blue or possibly black helmets.

No. Ronnie is done at Marshall. Glad to see coach Dawn back on the bench. With he and Detzel still around, Brannen has quite a brain-trust to go to for ideas.

Talked to him quite a bit at the 10th Region tourney and in Lexington. Glad to see he's coming back home to his alma mater.

No biggie. If you want to win you have to beat whoever is in on the field with you anyway. Doesn't matter if you are 1st or 4th, you just have to win.

The worlds worst teacher is still a better teacher than someone not teaching at all. And if you couldn't see Kevin Listerman eventually becoming the coach at CovCath when he was hired at Bellevue, you are a blind man walking in a pitch black cave at night.

1. We don't know if Ryan is going anywhere yet. 2. CovCath (and all schools for that matter) exists to EDUCATE KIDS. Coah L picked up another assisstant, but CCH picked up a teacher. Educating the students trumps all other aces. So if hiring a science teacher/asst. bball coach means someone not teaching has to go, so be it.

Pendleton has not played in a district to this point. Originally, they were supposed to be in the district with LexCath, Harrison Co. et al. But the districts and classes shifted and they were grouped in with Highlands, CovCath, and the Oldhams (at the time). They didn't feel they could compete in that district so they have stayed out, far too long IMO.

Krumpelbeck will hammer home fundamentals and defense over and over again from now until the end of the season. I'm sure the errors will diminish as time goes on.

Of the 31 AAAA titles, Trinity & X have combined for 21 of them. 4 others have gone to Louisville schools (3 to Male, 1 to Butler (1979)). Christian Co. has 2. Nelson Co., Henry Clay, and George Rogers Clark have 1 each. So 6 other schools have found what it takes to get ahead and win. Force the others to follow suit, not chicken out and find an easy way to the finals.

Where did I say that? I just said they need to work harder if they want to get better and compete.

Until the Public schools realize that the only way to end this on-going, rediculous, debate is to practice and work harder to get better and compete on the same level with the Trinitys and X's of the world, the problem isn't going away. They may rework the playoff system to get T and X to meet earlier, but then what is the next gripe? It isn't fair that one of those 2 always blasts the public schools in the final, so rework it again? It will just continue until they decide that the only way to win this game is to get better.
