Pikeville appeared to come out flat in this one. This team better find some on the field leadership quickly.

The schools/coaches that ABUSE the cards always stay in the back of my mind(in a negative way). I've seen too many times to mention when some coaches kids were trying to use the cards to get in. Again, a few bad apples spoils the whole bunch.

1. I think everything the KHSAA does has to do with the almighty dollar. 2. Membership in the KHSAA is a priviledge, not a right...If private schools want to be part of the organization and compete unfairly with public schools then pay for that privildge with a premium membership fee. BTW...I have nothing against private schools, my son attends one. leatherneck, you take my comments much too seriously. I'm beginning to think you either work for the KHSAA or are an attorney or both.

Bill the schools that request the investigation the cost if no wrongdoing is found then.

I believe each athlete in KY is charged for this insurance coverage. I do not think it is wrong to be concerned about the dollar but I do believe some decisions are made based on the financial implications rather than the good of the kids and more importantly, the membership schools. I believe the KHSAA forgets from time to time that without the schools, they do not exist. An alternative?? How about if the private schools want to be part of the KHSAA and compete with public schools on an unbalanced playing field then let the private schools pay a premium for membership. That argument doesn't hold water. The schools involved have the cost of the investigation included in any fines issued.

Yeah, but as long as the KHSAA is in charge of high school athletics in KY it will always be about the adult fans and even more so THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR. If it were truly a decision about the kids, then ALL other sports would be watered down to 6 classes also, even the revered "Sweet Sixteen".

Questionable coaching job last night(throwing the football when up by 50+points,trickery on two point conversion,starters in the game in the final 2 minutes)...cancelled jv season...only 25 players on a AA roster... Is the SV program in real trouble??? This is not a bash but a legitimate question.

Neither NCC, Highlands, nor Florida St have a patent on the offensive guy calling offensive plays, defensive coordinator calling the def sets and the head coach making the tough calls. That's the way Most programs have run things for years.
