I was just addressing your comment that non of the coaches in the hall of fame are mediocre. But then again I think that to qualify for the hall of fame you should be extraordinary maybe have a winning percentage of 70% or better, win a certain amount of district/regional/state titles so that it isn't watered down. As far as Combs, I think he will fair much better with Estill in a region like the 14th.

I know of at least one coach in there with about 75 more losses than wins. So some guys are also in there for the longevity of their coaching career.

If your school is not a member of the KHSBCA, the coach can't vote and the players for that school aren't eligible for the KHSBCA awards.

Coach Farris has been there for a while and I believe that Coach Conrad was at BOCO for a while too.

Coach Snopek had solid programs and some great athletes, but I do believe that they were in a region with the Lexington schools in the 60's and 70's.

Those 21 Regional Titles only date back to 1984...that means the Breds have won 21 of the last 29 titles in the 10th Region.

I'll go with Mercer County, Henderson County, PRP, and Harrison County in the final 4.

I agree at least have rosters...a lot of folks enjoy keeping the book at baseball games...it sounds like they need to charge more for advertisements if they aren't making money on the programs or just put more ads in there.

Why make a program if you are not going to sell it???

I am sure that the KHSAA and Whitaker Bank Ballpark is happy to have Harrison back at state. They usually bring 1000+ to every game they play there.

Congrats to Scott Kendall for signing to play basketball for the Aurora University Spartans. They are a DIII school in Aurora, Ill.

If he had his arms up it could have been interference, much like when a players slides into 2nd base with his hands up on a double play.

The Breds head back to the 10th Region Title game with their ace rested. The Breds improve to 23-7. The Eagles end the year at 19-19.

This one ended in 5, not sure who pitched. I picked it up in the bottom of the 5th. The Breds improve to 22-7. The Polar Bears end the year at 16-15.

If the HS student is comparable in talent to the 7th grader, that says a lot about the talent of the HS student. Look at a team like Harrison County. They have started middle school athletes and won state championships. This isn't rec league, because the kid is older doesn't mean he deserves to be on the team. What is the point of a tryout if you are not going to take the best players??? This is the coach's team and his decision to make. Sound like MC has a good coach and the people there just need to let him do his job, but it seems the Montgomery County way is to run off a coach if you don't like the way they coach...and for the concession stand, there will always be other people that will volunteer to run it.

He is in 7th grade, so he goes to school (is he goes to a MS in Montgomery he can play for MCHS, since there is only one HS)...until the KHSAA puts in a rule, this is what a coach that wants to win should do. I would think that you would want the best players on your team and not the oldest.

The boy shouldn't be on the team just because the parents work in the concession stand. If the 7th grader is a better player he should be on the team.

For the inning I listened to it, they were throwing their #5 pitcher, I don' know how long he threw...still don't know what happened to the bats though!
