Harrison County 1 Campbell County 0 (10th Region Championship)

Harrison County's 21st regional title. Wow.

Harrison County's 21st regional title. Wow.

That is impressive in the hardest sport to win in consistently.

Congratulations to Coach Mac Whitaker and the Thorobreds on the win. Campbell County put up a great fight, but the Breds are playing Mac's "Small Ball" at the right time. They have allowed I think 3 runs in 5 post season games. Good Luck next week!!!

This is as dominating at it gets imo. HC Baseball is one of those teams that you either Hate or Love with nothing in between.

The Haters will eventually understand that HC just continues to win and will respect the program for that, and the Lovers will never take wins for granted, at least they had better not...

Good luck to HC.

Jordan Martin throws a complete game shutout due to some great defense and pitching. He also had the lone RBI of the game. I guess the technique from Campbell County to get under his skin by trash talk backfired. Congrats to the breds on another 10th region title!

Bad idea to EVER trash talk a team coached by Mac Whitaker.

IMO the trash talk was pretty equal on both sides.

Congratulations to Harrison, and good luck at State.

It wasn't however a game where the Camels were dominated by a superior Harrison team this day. Harrison wins 1-0.

Martin surrendered five hits and two walks while striking out five.

Walsh gave up three hits while walking three batters and striking out nine.

Martin threw 62 of his 97 pitches for strikes, while Walsh threw 62 of his 94 pitches for strikes.

Each team charged with an error.

Camel runners getting picked off at 1st didn't help the Camels cause.

IMO the trash talk was pretty equal on both sides.

Campbell county did nothing but try to get in Martins head the entire game. The head coach for Campbell county came up to Jordan after the game and told him how impressed he was with handling all the harrasment during the game.

It seems like Mac Whitaker has been coaching at Harrison County for 50 years.

it should never get to that .. just play the game. Really? And what if Harrison was up big and Martin plucked a player as a result of the harassment? Everybody would be complaining.

Like I said .. it should never get to that, and the CC coach should prevent it from happening. Sounds like it was almost encouraged, based on the post-game compliment.
