So true. Was looking the other day and Harrison County has 21 regional titles. The next best in the 10th region are Clark and Campbell with five each (although all of Campbell's actually came in the 9th). They have owned that region for years, and he's also 13-6 all-time in state tournament competition. Just a terrific program.

This outcome does not surprise me one bit. Congrats to HC and also to Ryle for a great yr.

 

Were there any "Mac Moments" at the game? (trick plays, posturing with umpires, etc) Just seems to be part of HC Baseball and it works FWIW. :thumb:

That's true. They hadn't won one prior to 1984. Do you know what their program was like prior to the 1980s? I always wondered if Whitaker built it from the ground up, or if they had typically been pretty good.

Coach Snopek had solid programs and some great athletes, but I do believe that they were in a region with the Lexington schools in the 60's and 70's.
