Athletics is not considered when determining a family’s level of financial aide at Trinity. So I think we can agree to something that puts a limit on the number of pure "football scholarships" we give, because we don't do this now. Every school in Jefferson County can draw kids from the same area as Trinity. It is called open enrollment. It has been shown that schools like Manual can accept kids from outside of Jefferson County, including Indiana. So, if there is a limit on Trinity, the same limit will need to be applied to the other schools. But as you saw from the TV debate, the Public School Separatists do not want to limit themselves in this fashion. As long as it goes both ways, I think it is possible. For example, if a kid goes to a Catholic grade school in 8th grade, and then enrolls in a public school for the 9th grade, they will have to sit out of participation AND practice for one full year. Again as you saw from the TV debate, the Public School Separatists do not want to limit themselves in this fashion. And I really don't think this rule would hold up in court.

This is a major point that a lot of people miss. LexCath will now push Highlands and CovCath to become even better. The same way T and X push each other. With out competition, there is no reason to work harder.

How about this: St. X can put up a banner that says "Best Team - 2005", while Trinity will put up a banner that says "State Champions - 2005". Does that sound fair? I sure Trinity would be willing to make this compromise every year. :ylsuper:

It's easy for a Trinity fan to take these shots at Glaser. He's anti-Trinity 24/7. But if I'm an X fan, I'd be proud of Glaser. He's always done a good job by the kids, and he obviously loves his school. You can't ask for more than that.

Trinity Defense I’m so happy for the kids on Trinity’s D. Almost everyone was calling for Bean’s head. Fans were calling the kids lazy. In the end, they stop listening to the fans in the stands, and started playing old fashioned Trinity D. Three cheers for the Rocks!!! I thought it would be fun to look back at some of the posts after the 1st encounter when the sky was falling. A big :thumb: goes to andigidy.

Have you talked with the 8th graders that get the private one-on-one tours of x's campus provided by the classy Glaser? He WAS saying that and more. Now worries here though. We enjoy making him have to make up new guarantees. I can't wait to hear the next one. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I know, I know… Glaser “says” things all the time. But! He has been telling 8th graders “Why would anyone want to go to Trinity? I guarantee they will not win a championship in the next 4 years. We own them.” If I were an 8th grader, I’d have to wonder what else he has said that might not come true…
