  1. Toots, you can come to Hoptown and watch the Christian Co--Bowling Green game. You can even stay at my house since I live about 2 miles from the Stadium of Champions!:dancingpa *I'm only offering this because he said he wouldn't go west of Lexington and it makes me look really nice.
  2. Hopkinsville's RHP Justin Hageman signed with WKU on Friday. He said his main attraction to Western was the coaching staff told him he could pitch, play defense and bat for them. He batted .429 in 2009 with 12 HRs and 33 RBIs. He did this despite a left shoulder injury he suffered in a fall at home. He had surgery and says he is fully healed. His junior season he was 5-3 on the mound with a 1.60 ERA. His sophomore year he was 8-0 with a .64 ERA. When he is on, he has some nasty stuff. As evidenced by his stats, he is also an excellent hitter. Justin is just an excellent all-around baseball player.
  3. Hopkinsville Middle School's 7th and 8th grade teams are both undefeated so far this season. Last Thursday night, the 7th grade defeated North Drive Middle by a score of 58-29. JaQualis Matlock had 26 points and 14 rebounds. In the 8th grade game, HMS won by a score of 85-27. Tre Edwards had 21 points and 5 assists, and Matlock had 18 points and 10 rebounds.
  4. You are exactly right. It is shameful. Joe Wilson, the KNE columnist that wrote the article, usually writes one a season along those same lines. Unfortunately it doesn't do any good.
  5. Christian Co. is 8-4. On a side note, I drove by the Stadium of Champions last night and there was hardly anybody in the stands on the home side. It is such a shame that the students and people in town do not support that team. A beautiful night for football and your team in the playoffs and still--nobody is there? I don't get it.:idunno:
  6. I would guess Daviess County since they lost in the semi-finals. Hopkinsville, Marshall County and Greenwood all made the final 16. Back to the thread, those are some awesome pictures and some very impressive saves by both keepers.
  7. I have no idea about the RA and where she was from, but a blanket statement like the one bbone made is just false and insulting to all the girls that play good quality soccer in the western part of the state.
  8. Excuse me? Believe it or not, we do play some high quality girls' soccer west of I-65.:irked::irked::irked:

  10. It is pouring rain now and about 62 degrees. YUCK!!!
  11. It is unbelievably windy right now in Hopkinsville and 75 degrees.
  12. He is in 6th grade and will probably see limited action on the HMS 7th grade team. HMS 7th grade defeated Benton Middle School 51-18 and Lone Oak 52-15. HMS 8th grade defeated Benton 68-26, St. Mary's 48-31 and Lone Oak 55-38.
  13. Teams tend to not look very good when they play Ft. Campbell!
  14. Yes, the offseason should be interesting. There are not that many differences between the athletes at Christian County versus Hoptown, but the on-field products are polar opposites.
  15. My son has been practicing with the Hoptown Middle School team for a while now. They did several weeks of conditioning and went undefeated last weekend at a jamboree in Calloway County.
  16. Swimmers at Hoptown hit the pool during the 5 am hour! Talk about waking you up... I think it is good for a team and the individual. It instills an excellent work ethic and makes sure one really wants to play a particular sport. The swimmers get out of the pool and a parent brings breakfast and they eat together and get ready for school. It is quite a bonding time and I think it makes the team stronger.
  17. This thread is for questions for officials. Please stay on the subject or this thread will be closed.
  18. Hoptown hosts Marshall County tonight at 6 pm at the Stadium of Champions in the state tourney Sub Section 1. It has been pouring all day in Hopkinsville and it is going to be a mess out there tonight. Go Lady Tigers!!!
  19. :thumb:Absolutely--I am so proud of them! My daughter has played for Coach Jeff for several years on one of his travel teams and he is the best!
  20. Hopkinsville Lady Tigers capture the 2nd Region Girls Soccer Championship tonight over Caldwell County.
  21. What does Williamstown need to do to improve in 2009/2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
