RoadRunner

He did. For just one year (I think) Then he went back to Withrow.

Nope, that would be the home of a certain Sr. WR.

Rivalry week!

Newport 1980 9-1 and don't make the playoffs. (Family T would have to agree) Runner-up, Belfry 1979: tear-away jersey game state-semi's.

The wildcat was in effect after the pick and in goal line situations as well.

Mex, I hope you are pulling for X as much as the Highlands faithful If they do win state in Ohio it will be a great accomplishment. They play an unbelievable schedule.

You can view the data on funding here: http://www.education.ky.gov/kde/administrative+resources/finance+and+funding/school+finance/seek+and+tax+rates/seek.htm

I did sincerely want CovCath to win state in 2006 after Highlands was eliminated. I do enjoy the rivalry but I can see past it. I have tried to explain this to my high school age son. He does not yet have the perspective to see how that could ever be possible even when he is way old like me.

Really, 'cause around here, even my priest leads prayers against CovCath.

What makes you think they showed the rest & didn't just show enough to win this week???

This just in: Sherman's march to the the sea (X's Ky Campaign, Lou X, Trinity, HHS) has been pushed back. The south will rise again. No, wait a minute, the South has risen!!!!!! Cam Dierig, you made happen what physics would dictate cannot happen. Heart overcomes all else. When that kid (#78 with a boatload of BCS offers) is playing at some BCS school on Saturdays, make sure you tell your buddies how your 5' 6" frame pancaked him and dominated him all night!

7:00 PM. The JV & Frosh went after in a split field.

Especially to Tracy!

' He appears to be much better than where he left off. He is bigger and just as fast and agile. He has been more impressive this summer than last.

Brandon is a D-1 player. He is also a great young man. He suffered an injury in round two of the playoffs and missed the rest of the year. If this had not happened he would already have offers.

Highlands and Ryle are playing twice this year. Highlands needed this to fill out their schedule.

BTW, I hope you are right. When this year's seniors were freshman there were tremendous expectations for them. They didn't blow everybody out, but they did win every game. The schedule has some awfully good teams on it and will be a challenge. I believe most will be very happy to accomplish their goals. I am not sure being the best team in the history of HHS football is one of the goals.

Upcoming 7 on 7's, I believe all are at Highlands 7/16 Mason Co 9am –noon 7/20 Moeller 9:30am-noon 7/23 Holmes/Taft/CHCA 5-9pm 7/28 Hamilton 9:30-noon

With the dead period coming to an end, I figured it would be a good time to bring this thread back to life.

Yes, John Drennan WR, in addition to an already very talented WR corps, even with moving Austin C to RB.

Under the old sub-districts in 1980 Highlands lost to Newport in AAA. Highlands went 9-1 and missed the playoffs. Newport was led by David Simpson father of current Simon Kenton star Miles Simpson. The two sub-districts in NKY for AAA at the time were Highlands Newport Newport Catholic Scott and CovCath Conner Lloyd ? The district champion was the winner of the game between the two sub-district champions. In '81 Highlands defeated Conner and won State AAA in '82 Highlands defeated CovCath and won State AAA in '83 Conner defeated Highlands and won State AAA

I don't think where someone went after high school has any real bearing on how good they were in high school. Jeff Kremer was a stud and I am a huge fan of his. However, Dave Fischer was the best player on that team.

I would think he would play DB but I didn't see him play any D during spring ball, so it probably won't be a focus for him.

John Drennen. He will be a Sr.

I don't know his exact height & weight but he has good size and good speed.
