Although there's a 2009 Highlands thread ongoing, I thought I get one going solely for spring practice.

Some observations after two days; 6 QB's working on footwork and a variety of throws. Bardo is looking great, I guess the others are battling for the backup positions. It just seemed unusual to see 6, but it is only spring practice. I don't recall seeing a HHS team with as many lineman as they have up there this year. The numbers look good and so does the size with a few exceptions. Although, those without size look strong and quick. With 3 returners on the O-line (Schlosser, Combs and Grubbs) there should be big time battles for the other two positions. Keep working hard guys!:thumb:

What position is Welz working at?

Currently, Tight End.

6 Qb's. What are they running up there, a Pro Camp. Who are the six? Bardo, Abner, New, Towels, ?,?

I can only add Siedl. As for the last QB I can't help. I'm a lineman person.:idunno:

Dupont is the sixth.

Thanks.:notworthy:

Ben or Colin? That is a ton of QB's.

Ben, he is a sophomore and Colin will be a freshman.

Yesterday (Wednesday) was just weightlifting, with no football activity, but they are back at it today after school.

What position will Collinsworth play this year? Hearing he may play at RB?

After two days of practice, that is the position he's playing. I doubt it will change.

Is that somewhat of a surprise?

Not to me. I think you get the ball in the hands of your best player as many times as possible. Moving him to RB accomplishes this thought.
