  4. Tonight Douglass travels across town to Lexington Catholic for a 5:30pm game. Douglass is young but have been playing well. I have not seen Lexington Catholic's JV play but I'm sure they are prepared to represent their school well. Does anyone have any thoughts on how tonight's JV only game may go?
  5. On the Bronco senior night, Douglass defeats district rival Sayre by a score of 5-1 for their 8th consecutive win. Scoring for Douglass: Haley Flynn, Maddie Merryweather, Haley Flynn, Savannah Hughes and Maddie Merryweather.
  6. Sorta makes you wonder what the record is for the most yards gained by both teams.
  7. This Douglass team starts a 7th grade goalie and four 8th graders. They have a 10-2-2 record with only 10 goals given up and 40 scored in those 14 games. They have 9 shutouts and haven't given up a goal in their last 7 games. This Douglass JV team is solid in all positions with good depth and substitutes getting significant playing time. For example one goal in this 2-0 win over Henry Clay was scored by an 8th grade substitute and both assists were by a 7th grade substitute. The future looks bright for the Douglass program in the next few years.
