I too watched the game on the Bardstown streaming service. Looks like Ashland had a good shooting night. Unofficially, I had them 28 of 42 from the field for 66.7%, 10 for 17 from three point range for 58.8% and 10 for 13 from the free throw line for 76.9%.

In the last two minutes of the game with Ashland keeping the ball in Porter's hands, he went 7 for 8 from the free throw line when Johnson Central had to foul.

It's always hard to get a win on the home floor of a good team and Highlands is a good team. That being said, I think that Ashland has the talent and chemistry to get the win.

I do not expect Ashland to lose but I have seen teams lose by making a larger than 32 point turn around in less than 3 months time. Next focal point Lewis County.

Okay, at 30-0 going into the 16th region tournament Ashland Blazer is this year's Cinderella team candidate?

I think we've reached that point in the 2019/20 campaign where an Ashland regular season loss may have helped keep focus for the remainder of the post season. Ah, but 37-0 would make a grand story indeed. Congratulations on your district championship and good luck the rest of the way.

It's difficult to stop a team with 5 starters, all of who can score inside or outside and each capable of scoring 20-25 points or more. Villars and Bradley combine for only 6 points while Porter, Sellars and Hudson combine for 53 points.

It was against Lewis County. Porter had 10 points, 12 assists, 8 rebounds and 8 steals in under 24 minutes of playing time. Against Rose Hill Porter had 31 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists in 24 minutes of playing time.

The Daily Independent credited Ashland Blazer with 13 three pointers for the game. The article said that the starters were taken out after three quarters with Ashland leading 86-40 on 34-48 shooting. The article reported that Porter went 12-15 with 31 points, Villars went 8-11 with 21 points, Sellars 6 for 6 with 12 points and Bradley 3-3 with 8 points, Hudson had 9 points before they were all taken out after the third quarter.
