The Black Devils, recent winners of the 10th Region All-A championship, take their 4-0 record on the road to Anderson Gymnasium at Ashland Blazer high school to face the 4-1 Tomcats. Ashland has looked strong lately, with wins over 15th Region favorite Johnson Central and 5th Region contender Bardstown. 

Each team has three players averaging in double figures. Ashland features Cole Villers (20.0 ppg), Colin Porter (16.0), and Ethan Sellars (13.0). Robertson County counters with Justin Becker (26.0), Sebastian Dixon (17.5), and Tanner Horn (10.8). Becker shoots an incredible 70% from the field to lead a team that shoots 54% overall. 

Looks like a great game, on paper.

 

 

I like what Robertson County is doing this season. Expected to be solid and playing several top tier opponents (Ashland, GRC, Campbell, Mason, Lexington Catholic) on the road to prepare them for the 10th Region tournament.

If Ashland shoots the ball like that, they will beat anyone. I mean talk about being on fire. Great game so far. 

Ethan Sellars and Colin Porter shot a combined 16 of 21 from the field in the first half to lead Ashland with 21 and 16 points, respectively. Robertson County has played well, but Ashland was on another level shooting the ball. On top of that, Ashland only has one turnover so far.
