  1. I think Deuce was being sarcastic. He's actually been one of Trinity's proponents.
  2. Irrelevant, the games are at Rupp so most of the patrons are so "tingly" about being there they don't care.
  3. But it will be at UK so 99% of the fans won't care. If UK gouges them that's fine, anyone else not so much. And we'll go back to the days of the games feeling like you're playing in front of empty seats because you will be.
  4. FYI: Trinity's administration made an announcement to the entire student body this morning concerning the objectionable chant. In very strong terms it was made clear that the chant was out of bounds and unacceptable. The school will also be sending a letter of apology to Lafayette.
  5. Some people are making it sound like the Trinity students yelled that for a long time Iwason the field and honestly didn't hear it. I have no doubt it probably happened, teen age boys will push the envelope. I'm certain our administration shut it down quickly
  6. Over react much? The kids said it, the administration stopped it quickly. How many times has Trinity beaten a team you follow?
  7. It is. They've only been playing football since 1998, I believe. Congratulations Centurians. Bringing another title to the East End of Louisville.
  8. Get ready. You can't dodge the Rocks next year.
  9. Spencer Blackburn was the best QB on the field last night.
  10. Got GREAT news for the Simon Kenton faithful and @Footballforever74 in particular. I just checked the KHSAA website guess what, district 4 (Trinity) is in the same region as district 6 (Simon Kenton) next year!!!! That means that assuming you can get past a couple of 6A opponents you could get your shot at Trinity. I CAN'T WAIT.
  11. Were you there? Jealousy is a nasty, nasty thing.
  12. Here it comes, the regular chorus of butt hurt people anytime Trinity wins. Here's news for you, if Lafayette had and discipline and real coaching they win last night.
  13. Maybe someday your boys from Independence will be able to compete with a team like Trinity. Be thankful you were eliminated when you were. Trinity would have shut Simon Kenton out AGAIN.
  14. WORST OFFICIATING EVER. Read part of the update thread and will read the rest later. For the record this is the first game this year that Trinity has had helmets come off during play. Hands to the face will make that happen. Unfortunately Trinity fell into Lafayette's trap. Refs only see retaliation. 3 of the crew were from Ashland. It was obvious that they had never worked a game of this caliber before. They totally lost control.
  15. Not the way some schools schedule. :lol2:
  16. As long as we have 1 more point at the end of the game I'll be happy BUT, Trinity's D has proven that they can contain Lafayette and Lafayette's D hasn't been able to contain Trinity.
  17. 2 words...work ethic I know other schools work hard but I sincerely believe that no other school puts in the time getting ready for a season that Trinity does. Everyone connected with the program from coaches to players to managers puts in a incredible amount of time to get ready for a 15 game season. The coaches are masters of preparation, they leave no detail to chance. God only knows how many hours they spend watching film. The players have to buy into it. Starting with winter and spring workouts the kids put in 3-4 hours a day 4 days a week. Once school is out and the summer program starts the kids put in 4-6 hours a day, 4 days a week every week other then dead period. Then once the season "starts" the intensity level gets ratcheted up. There may be other programs that have as extensive an off season program as Trinity but I don't know of any.
  18. If the can get the requisite 11 practices in before Saturday bring 'em.
  19. What devastating effect is this going to have on anyone? So what, a game starts at a different time? I've been lucky enough to be on the field for championship games at PJCS and at Western and I can tell you that the atmosphere is much better at Western. Move the games to UK and it will be like playing in front of an empty house. Besides the KHSAA has a contract, would you propose they break it?
  20. Don't you find it a bit unbecoming to continue to patrol other threads just to pump up a 6A school's win over a 2A school. Sad that that's SK's signature win.
  21. Announcer got it wrong. It was an ineligible man downfield.
  22. Trinity has proven that their D can stop Lafayette. Lafayette's D has been suspect. Lafayette is talented, no doubt, but I don't see any way that they will get the coaching they need to overcome the shortcomings that have.
  23. Exactly what type of transfers are you talking about? I know X has had no issues taking transfers in the past. When did that policy change?
