Depends. Did Lafayette pay their electric bill and are there thunderstorms predicted?

Why would anyone give up their home field?

Trinity 63 Ballard 20
Trinity needed a smack in the mouth like they got in the first quarter. Ballard came out excited and played with confidence.

I Never Knew...
Actually it depends on how the regions are set up. I believe next year the Male/X district is on the opposite side of the Trinity/Ballard district so it could be an all Louisville final.

I Never Knew...
I believe that only twice has no Louisville school played in the big division championship game. 1996 Nelson Co d. Dunbar and 2013 Scott Co d, Meade Co

I Never Knew...
In the days of a Jefferson County champion in 4A all the playoff games were played at the old Fairgrounds. It was great going out there on Friday and Saturday night of the first round and watching 4 playoff games.

Strength of Schedule
I don't dispute that BUT they would still get dusted by any of the traditional 6A powers. Lots of difference between 1,2,3 and the rest of the top 10. And could that also be one of the "big 3" coaches rationalizing a less then stellar performance against them a few years ago?

Jairus Brents - Waggener
That's pretty bold talk. I can think of a couple that I would have a hard time putting him in front of and they played against much better teams.

Strength of Schedule
No.

Strength of Schedule
I have a HUGE amount of respect for CAL and for the program that Stefan LeFlors has built there, that said if CAL played any of the traditional 6A power programs they would get dusted. I have no issue with SK playing a CAL but spouting that its a resume building win is just false. A good 6A program should beat an outstanding 2A program handily. SK wants respect they need to earn it. A win this week against Lafayette would be a step in the right direction for them.

Strength of Schedule
Jefferson County schools are close enough they could just forget geography and it wouldn't make that much of a difference. Here's my suggestion: Trinity Manual Ballard J-Town PRP Male X Eastern Seneca Butler Each team has 4 set district games. Longstanding rivals (Trinty/X, Male/Manual, Ballard/Eastern, PRP/Butler) could still play but they could pick when outside of the KHSAA set dates for district games. Male/Manual could go back to the final week of the season if they wanted to. All the teams then have 5 games and only have to look for 5 more. Scheduling is easier and the power is spread out some. And FWIW I'd be perfectly OK is Male and Manual were swapped.

Strength of Schedule
They used to be. Ballard, Eastern, J-Town and Seneca are in their district. When they redrew the district boundaries they didn't try to balance them.
-
Strength of Schedule
Trinity's out of district in state opponents were Lafayette, Male, X and PRP. Not to shabby.
