I here you-probably as bad as they could play. I just rather take the high road and give credit where credit is due as I know the Seniors are beating themselves up right now and should celebrate their 41-2 record. But, as I alluded to they are going to be back in the same position for the next few years, and I feel they will finish the deal multiple times.

Could save this for a offseason thread, but holy smokes is CCH going to be loaded the next few years. At one point tonight there was only 1 Senior on Defense, and several sophomores. On Offense with the 2 Soph WR's, several underclassman RB's, 4 underclassman lineman, and Pitzer coming in they should be right back here next year if not further. This program just continues to grow.

The 6 turnovers were obviously a big part of the game,, but Bowling Green was just the better team. CCH couldn't get anything going offensively. Go win state Purples.

Congrats to the CCH Seniors: 40-2 over their Varsity career. Quite a career that you boys will talk about forever.

The CCH defense in my opinion played state champion football with the holes they were put in.

I did, and I agree. Just giving my two cents on Rodenburg. When he was at CCH he was the benefactor of 2 of their best classes from about 2005-2015.

In my humble opinion, CCH SHOULD have won 2 state titles both years Rodenburg was there, but did not. The 2006 state title team was one of the most talented classes CCH has ever had, and when those guys were Juniors in 2005, they had a darn good Senior class ahead of them led by QB Drew Ellison. I just looked it up and they lost 42-39 to LexCath in the playoffs, who ended up winning state by 4 TDs over Bowling Green. I am not saying he is overrated, but I do know he was not great at bringing the "community" together as we all knew he was looking for what he perceived as greener pastures. Not sure he is the fit.

I will say-I have not seen the Birds play as hard and fight like they did tonight in a good 5 years. He had to have something to do with that. CCH is just better. Give him one more year.

A Win is a Win against your rival no matter how sloppy you were at times. Tip of the cap to Highlands as they were very motivated.

The underclassmen have been sensational this year, and other than Caleb. Zion Mason was the best player on the field tonight.

For those that questioned: Zion Mason is the real deal...already has a INT, and they are still working him into the offense. He and Benke as Soph WR's the next few years are going to be tough to be defend.

I haven't logged into BGP from a game this year, but CCH looks awful. The fumble that led to the score, the Gronotte FG he makes in his sleep. They are missing Trevor Wilson and some other starters but it should not be this close. I guess this is why they call it a rivalry.
