It was in fact a great game. I do question the KHSAA for assigning a first year official to the Sate Championship game. As a point of reference, in 27 prior games SHA had one stroke penalty called, and that was in Pennsylvania. And now, 2 in one game? Anyway, Congrats to Assumption. It was an entertaining game and both sides hustled their fannies off.

Not said by anyone yet, but I want to give a shout out to Owensboro for playing Saint X and to Saint X for playing Owensboro. There are far too few matchups between Louisville and State schools. I like them. They are good for everyone, especially football in Kentucky.

A great game to watch. X had some good speed in the backfield. Impressed with Owensboro. They will win a lot. How many for O went both ways?

How did all the D1 players for Douglas do?

His original claim is for workers' compensation. That will pay all his medicals and indemnity benefits at 2/3 of his average weekly wage, with a cap. This is a third party claim, and if he is successful his WC carrier gets reimbursed for its payout. I was an official and a lawyer. It doesn't look like the sideline was crowded. Schools are responsible for people on their sidelines in terms of conduct. I just don't see the lability here but do think THS needs to keep its sidelines clear. I am not saying they did or they didn't. Never been to a home game here, so I can't comment. I will say that we always told the chain crew that if they see something coming to drop the chains and get out.

I like the green and white, especially when it's the traditional uniforms, and as you can see I'm a Saint X guy. A great arena for football, just don't like the black.

When did black become a school color? Trinity is green and white. Period.

Are freshmen out yet? Any numbers for each class yet?

I like John. He does a great job. Sometimes he needs to give the time and score more often.

Years past it was usually around 100. Smaller classes and fewer playing FB now. I had 3 sons play. Each had over 100 on freshman team.

How true. It's sad. I played one year at UK many moons ago. I don't get it.

I'll harp on it once more and quit. Louisville roster lists 17 from Kentucky, with several from Jefferson and Oldham. Kentucky lists 10, with 0 from Jefferson and Oldham. Under McDonnell, 5 trips to Omaha. Kentucky has zero.

Dan McDonnell makes a living with Louisville and Kentucky players. For some reason UK doesn't think they are good enough. I guess Super Regionals and 5 trips to Omaha with those players aren't enough. And, don't forget Trey Sweeney, the Yankees' first round pick out of Saint X.

And someone tell me why all of these kids can play at Louisville and WKU and UK isn't even mentioned? Do we not recruit Kentucky?

I agree. Sounds like they are really going all out on this.

I like this schedule because it includes 3 state schools. I like this scheduling because I think it is good for Saint X and Louisville and the rest of the state. I would like to see some of the Lexington area schools step up to the plate.
