Big Ben: "We dey!"

If Big Ben is healthy this team is going to beat the snot out of the Bengals this year.

I wonder if he or SF did anything to cheat in Super Bowl XXIII against the Bengals? If they did, then it very likely determined the SB winner that year, given how close the game was. IMO, Montana is crazy to be saying things like this now. He is probably right about how people view knowlingly violating the rules now compared to a few decades ago, but by admitting such things now he stands to lose a lot of credibility in many people's eyes.

Any word on the result of today's HHS-DH JV game?

I want to offer the following to the current Highlands football players and coaches... A lot has and is being said and written about this year's Highlands football squad that I am sure is frustrating and disheartening for not only the players and coaches, but also the fans. There is much discussion about why the team is currently 1-5 and how the 'Birds are having a historically disappointing season. I have no connection to any of the players or coaches at Highlands, and certainly have no insight into why things are going differently for the team at this point in the season compared to previous years' squads. With that said, I challenge all of you to work your hardest and try your best to change the narrative of this year's story, as you are in a very unique position to become legendary in Fort Thomas in a way that previous years were not. You have the opportunity and the privilege to be remembered by future generations as the Highlands team that started the year 1-5, including 3 running-clock mercy rule games, and rallied to... who knows?... win its district over archrival CovCath, win the region, or why not?... capture a state title. I am sure all of you are tired of hearing about the amazing feats that Highlands has accomplished over the past eight years. Well, right now you have the opportunity to do what none of those eight great Highlands squads that preceded you had to face: to win at a time when your backs are truly against the wall and everyone has written you off. I don't know what this team is capable of, but I can assure you that if you are able to meet the challenges that await in district play and in the postseason, you will be remembered for a lot longer than the previous eight Highlands teams. Many people are saying this year's Highlands team will make history in a negative way, and I challenge you to prove them correct by half: to make history, but in a positive manner. Go 'Birds! Cordially, Your biggest fan in North Carolina

Are you talking about this year's team or Oregon's program in general, because I am pretty sure Oregon has made it to the national title game twice (with both being respectable games) in the last 5 or 6 years.

I heard it was that NASA was being outsourced to China because of the lack of homegrown American engineering competence.

Carson Says a Muslim Should not be President
jbwill2 replied to Jesse James's topic in Controversial Issues
So, you are saying that Muslims in the US are in danger of being killed because of their religion? If thousands of Muslims are having to hide their religion to protect their life, then why do I not hear about thousands of known/"open" Muslims being killed in the US because of their religion? There any countless Muslims living openly in this country (including my wife and my in-laws), and they are not under threat for their life... -
Trinity will beat Male in the playoffs.

Take a look at my full post above. I wonder how many Muslims here in America have to hide the identity of their faith to avoid physical danger? -
Carson Says a Muslim Should not be President
jbwill2 replied to Jesse James's topic in Controversial Issues
I wonder how many Muslim majority countries would elect a Christian or Jew as President or PM? I have had personal experiences in Muslim majority countries, and it's a whole different ballgame there in terms of intolerance against those who do not believe in the country's dominant faith, at least in the countries to which I have been. Heck, in one country the people with whom I stayed told the locals I was a Muslim in order to protect my safety. -
I think you may be underestimating how devastating the results of the data will be on the game. When the results of all this ongoing research show what we all suspect they will show, imagine the lawsuits that will be filed against youth leagues, high schools and colleges. If you think it's silly, just consider the impact trial lawyers and the judicial system have had on big tobacco in America. When the dust settles, no high school will be able to afford the liability insurance necessary to field a team.
