  1. I had heard that there were 4 interviews at West yesterday. Assuming the candidates mentioned here were interviewed, that leaves at least 1. Any Ideas who that might have been? Also, Bourbon Co. seems to be taking their time, any news out of there?
  2. What does West have coming back next year? How were the Freshman/JV teams?
  3. In all due respect Les. Madison Central would argue with this. Obviously stumbled this year against a very good Scott Co team, but in 2003 and 2004 Central was basically a play or two away from going to the State Semi Finals. I have defended this district to outsiders and insiders alike. When people like nljagsfan were on here, they did too. Say what you will about District 8 as the teams currently stand, but the entire district is steadily improving in competitve balance. There is solid coaching from top to bottom and great/talented/hard working kids in every program.
  4. This is my understanding as well. I believe that they are going to try to get a Middle School and HS program going this year. The youth league is something that they want to get going as soon as they can, not sure who will be in charge of setting that up.
  5. This job will likely draw quite a bit of interest.....
  6. Former Berea HC Todd Harris is the Head Coach.
  7. I believe that they will be playing at least a limited varsity schedule this first year. From what I hear the numbers have been up and down at times, but they are having 55 or 60 on the low days. They have a lot of work to do from buying equipment to building fields, not to mention building a team. I have a lot of respect for the school system and the kids for finally getting the chance to get on the Football field!
  8. What kind of numbers were out at the end of this past season, How many Sophs and Frosh? I saw on the b-ball roster they have a 6-6 270lb Frosh. Surely this kid plays football too..??...
  9. I believe that it can be done there. But it does appear that the athletic focus is on "other" sports aside from Football. That does not always spell doom for the Football program, but it sure does make the work load heavier.
  10. That will be a departure from the way the process was run when they hired coach Dahlstrom. They might have known right away who they wanted, but the hiring process was pretty slow.
  11. How soon do they plan to start the hiring process?
  12. Deadline for applicants was Dec. 2, Any word on when interviews will begin?
  13. If this job does come open, and at this point that still sounds like an IF, will any current assistants be considered for the job. Further, will they open up the search or keep things quiet?
  14. Lots of Rumors flying around, very little concrete information though. I suspect there will be more applicants than rumors by the time they interview.
  15. Where is he going to now? They already said Rich Brooks was going to be at UK next year.... Can't be there.
  16. Todd Harris is the new coach for Jackson County's new program. He was at Berea in 03, & 04. Coach Mills does seem to have the Berea program at least progressing again. Numbers always have and always will be a concern at Berea Community School. It would be very surprising to me if the adiministration did not give him more time unless there is something going on behind the scenes. Nothing is ever really surprising in the HS coaching ranks anymore though.
