Who is in the running for Bryan Station??

Featured Replies

Who are the names in hte hat for the Bryan Station job and who is the front runner? Great athletes to choose from in a tough district but I believe would be a great job. Any news??

Dont know if he is in the running or not but I am hearing Donald Wayne Smith form KSU and Harrodsburg coach

Maybe Steve Lovelace (Christian Co.) Defensive Coord. and the previous Defensive Coordinator at Hopkinsville for 11 years. He applied for it the last time it was open. But is the job as intrigueing to him now as it was then?

Did Trey Moore quit or was he fired.

According to Lex Herald, he was fired.

I have been told by more than a few sources that a current 4A head coach may be the frontrunner for this job. He currently is in the same region as Bryan Station, but that is all the more specific I can be at this time.

Lots of Rumors flying around, very little concrete information though. I suspect there will be more applicants than rumors by the time they interview.

Any news on this position? Names?

I've heard this as well. It makes sense, if you consider what MC lost this year. Perhaps Turner is interested in a new challenge.

Maybe not next year, but within the next couple of years, with the new school, I assume a new field, and a probable change in districting of the city of Lexington, I would think this Bryan Station job would be highly coveted........potentially a gold mine filled with great opportunity. I am hearing there has not be a lot of interest and am scratching my head as to why? Anyone know?

They have alot of talent and great speed. It's a raw team right now, but I think they could be a playoff team in a year or two.

My guess is the candidate pool is looking only at past history and ignoring the pluses you mentioned. I have to agree with you that this should be a very attractive job.

The situation at Bryan Station is an intresting one. From it's history, I 'm not too sure the administration knows whats going on. I believe that there is a lot of potential. The problems there are things like, not getting players to practice. That is not something remedied over night, regardless of who they bring in as coach. Until Fayette Co. makes the kids go to where their supposed to things won't change.
