I was impressed with both teams today. Two tradition-rich championship teams battling it out on the grid-iron. I noticed several instances where Mayfield players would help Danville players to their feet after the play and vice-versa. Unless I'm mistaken, there were no unsportsmanlike calls or personal foul calls.

I deem today "Titletown Ii-The Resurrection".

I just reviewed Boyle's roster. Amazing that so many of their skill positions are sophomores!!! Yikes..

Had a great time at the game tonight. It made me realize how much I've missed high school football the past few years.

An awesome game. That was the first state championship game I ever attended. Man, did I pick a good one!!

My very biased answer is the Boyle County/Lone Oak championship game in 2009. It's biased because my son was on that Boyle County team and I SOOOO much wanted him to get a ring. Boyle was down 22-7 at the half and down 29-19 with five minutes to play in the game. Boyle kicked a 38 yard field goal to send the game into overtime. In the 2nd overtime, Lone Oak had to settle for a field goal, and Boyle went for the TD on 4th down and capitalized to win the game. An unforgettable, glorious day indeed.

Good points being made in this thread. I don't want to change my BGP name to "The Artist Formerly Known as Titletownclown".

I feel guilty about going to the games this weekend because I haven't been to a single game since last year, but I am going nonetheless........ I am hopping on the bandwagon and I hope it is a smooth ride. :banana:

Wow. The Ads came to play tonight.

CAL was impressive in all phases of the game today. The Ads hung with them in the first half, but a few key mistakes in the second half tipped the scale in CAL's favor. Both teams were very impressive on the defensive side of the ball. Congratulations to both teams on a great season!!
