I think that Phil Schambach of Simon Kenton is underated and overlooked. Mike Hester gets most of the ink and attention, but Phil does a nice job scoring,and usually defends the others teams top scorer.

I like SK to win here at the "Joe" tonight. I am going to get there early so I can see the Lady Pioneers play the first game at 6:00 :thumb: I look for Schambach to have a huge game tonight!!

Phil does a good job on defense and is a threat to throw down 20 points on any given night!

Simon Kenton is primarily plays a man to amn defense almost exclusively. I will go against the grain here and nominate Phil Schambach. Phil has done a great job for th Pioneers and I would love for him to get some recognition!

I like Sk here 67-62 ....Would love to see them get on a roll again heading into the 8th region postseason.

This game is in Shelbyville. There is no easy way to get there from Ft. Thomas. The way I see it is to go I-71 south to Louisville take 265 to I-64 east to Shelbyville. Looks like a lot of driving to me. If Sk was playing I would probably make the drive though! :thumb:

Fair enough Dirtybird!!We can agree to disagree then. I hope SK keeps Scott on the schedule twice next season. Regardless of the outcome these have been down to the wire exciting games.I look for SK to schedule a lot more in the 8th region next season. I hate that they didn't play Newcath and Highlands this year.

Dirtybird it is called opinions.. You have your opinion and we have ours. What hurts Scott's credibility is their 8 game losing streak. I still think SK is a better team than Scott and nothing you can say will make me believe otherwise. I really think the whole purpose of this thread is a feeble attempt by Scott supporters to make them feel better about this season. You all have touted Howard, McCord, Quigley, and Whitehead, and Sharp so much , you are actually starting to believe it.

I can't imagine Dixie having a easier district than Sk . SK's first opponent is Williamstown. SK won the first game at Williamstown 80-36 They won the next time at the Joe 82-32. Williamstown is SK's first round game in the 32nd. They then play the winner of Grant County.. Walton Verona for the District championship.

Does anyone even consider the fact that when OJ and Bill leave this NCH program the revenge that is going to be exacted on this small school for years to come!! :thumb:

I say Holy Cross, Simon Kenton , Scott, Dixie. All of SK"s losses were on the road. SK also has been down one starter in all of these games, Seth Blevins. SK has only been out of three games all year Holmes at Holmes, Christian County at the AIT, Louisville Male in the Toyota Classic. IMO Sk wins the Dixie game and the Holy Cross and Scott game with Seth. With all of this being said it is starting to look like next year will be SK.s year as they are a Junior dominated team this season. I look for the game this Friday at the "Joe" to be a indication of how they will fare in the post season, their 1st in the 8th region. :thumb:

The problem I have with the 8th region and 9th region refereeing I have witnessed is, the calls they don't make. I have seen players get elbowed in the face and left laying while play continues. I have also see tripping that wasn't called. I understand this is a tough job and a thankless one at that. But.....in this day and age with "three" referee's they should be a lot more consistent than they are. Overall I can say this much I don't think in any game I have watched that their was favoritism . I think the perfect scenerio for any official would be to not be even noticed or to be remembered for blown calls or the lack of not being bold and authoritative enough to make the tough calls.

Josh did a good job against Howard of Scott high school Saturday night. I am not hyping him as tops in the state though. Mike Hester of Sk is going to be my top ten in the state though!

Congratsulations to the Boone County Rebels. This has been a long year for them. They could be dangerous in the 33rd District tournament!!
