I guess I have never really given it much thought. I know it is never mentioned in Grant County . They have their own weekly paper "the Grant County News". I know that Pendleton County has the "Falmouth outlook". This has only really come into play since the transfer of Elliot. Pendleton, Grant and Gallatin were never factors before, hence no complaints until last year and this year. Jim I think the BP station in Warsaw carries both the CJ and the Herald. :thumb:

I would consider Northern Kentucky to be the 9th region is that fair???I also think that Simon Kenton, Walton,Scott, and Bishop Brossart and Campbell County shouldn't be included for this reason :thumb: Kenton County is dead between Boone and Campbell Counties, and they have three public High schools Dixie, Simon Kenton, and Scott. They are all three in different regions. Go figure??? :confused: :confused: :confused:

Basically it is Bailey Tabor. They didn't look very good last night against Owen County. SK by whatever they want to make it.

I watched Grant lose to Owen County tonight. They might be playing Friday without Adam Riley and Boston Howe they both have ankle injuries. Roger Blackburn is already out. With all three of these players in the starting lineup at Sk they lost by 11. I look for at least a 20-25 point win for SK Friday.

Thanks for the update Mack. This 8th region is new to me. While I do know of Shelby, because of the tournaments and state rankings they have acheived. Sk hasn't played anyone outside of the 32nd. They do play at Oldham County soon.

I was wondering if someone in the 8th could give us a update??? Simon Kenton just newly arrived in this region and outside of their 32nd district games didn't get to play a lot of the teams in the region. I know Shelby County is the top dog right now but who else doing anything this season. Sk is now 11-3 and appears to have the 32nd district #1 seed locked up. Sk has primarily played a 9th region schedule and I for one hope that they continue to do :thumb: so.

I too will go with Scott Draud. I have seen a lot of shooters Chris lofton included but Scott was the best!IMO

I see where they lost by 13 to Erlanger Lloyd earlier this season. Erlanger Lloyd lost by 30 to SK last night. I can see Grant winning this game. The loss of Blackburn is huge to this team though.

The weirdest thing I have ever witnessed in High School Basketball was around three seasons ago at the Fifth Third Holiday Classic in a game between George Rogers Clark and Hatsboro, Pa. I saw one of Clark players smack one of Hatsboro's players and when he saw he got away with it , he then proceeded to strike him as hard as he possibly could. You could hear it all over LexCath's Gym but neither referee saw either blow. They had to carry the Hatsboro player off of the court. This was probably 4 years ago Mike Brock's senior year at Sk.

It has been a few weeks since I last saw them play. I saw the first Williamstown game and didn't want to watch the rematch. I saw where they were soundly beaten in the AIT by Christian County . They then beat Lexington Bryan Station for third place. I will go to the Grant County rematch next week and go watch them play in the Toyota Classic. I have no use whatsoever for thirty point wins. I was hoping these young Pioneers can sneak in under the radar, and slip up on Shelby County in the 8th region regionals.
