SKNEERS Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Simon Kenton @ Grant County, January 20. The first game SK only won by 11 but many thought that it would not be that close one bit. But I look for this one to be a little different with the Pioneers takeing the W once again but this time SK 74-53
Regulator Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 SK's been hot lately, had a good win Saturday against Central Hardin. I'll take SK 64-45.
NEERFAN Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 SK had a few big leads during their first matchup but couldn't close the deal. On the road I say they still win by 15 plus.
skfan Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I watched Grant lose to Owen County tonight. They might be playing Friday without Adam Riley and Boston Howe they both have ankle injuries. Roger Blackburn is already out. With all three of these players in the starting lineup at Sk they lost by 11. I look for at least a 20-25 point win for SK Friday.
SKNEERS Posted January 18, 2006 Author Posted January 18, 2006 So really Tabor is the only key player left for the Braves?
CatFanatic Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 With Howe and Riley SK by 15. Without them, SK by 25+.
skfan Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Basically it is Bailey Tabor. They didn't look very good last night against Owen County. SK by whatever they want to make it.
chucktaylors Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Riley will not play. Howe is doubtful. With the wins/losses in district to this point this game would not really impact the seeding. If Grant was to pull the upset, then Grant and Simon Kenton would draw to see who would be #1 and who would be #2. If Walton beats Williamstown at Walton, both of them would be tied for #3 and #4 so they would have to draw for who is #3 and who is #4. The only way that this plays out without a draw is Simon beats Grant and Williamstown beats Walton. Then it would be SK #1, Grant #2, Williamstown #3 and W-V #4. With Grant sweeping Walton and Williamstown the Braves have assured themselves to be in the opposite bracket from SK in the district tourney. Therefore, Coach Kinmon will probably rest Boston and allow him to heal before getting back to action next Friday against Anderson Co. That will be a 10 day layoff. Riley will be back then also. Getting the bench substantial minutes would be good for Grant's preparation for the district.

I hope SK plays their Jayvees much of this game to avoid needless injuries :thumb:
