SKNEERS Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 If I remember correctly the first game wasnt much of a game at all. Walton's big men (most of the time it was Franklin Daughetery) had his way with Hurd. But Hurd still had a decent game
spillywilly Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Look for Walton to try and get a inside game going and attempt to get hurd in foul trouble early. The guards will be to much for walton to over come. If Walton comes out in the zone they may get killed by Blevens again. I believe that Hensley is still out for Walton so that is going to hurt when it comes to breaking the pressure of SK.
captain Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 I hate to say it but SK should do well. They are playing very good right now & WV has some kids who are beat up this week. On a side note Daugherty played AAU ball with several of the Sk's starters a few years ago they are still friends. Walton kids will play with heart but its a tough match up

Whom all play for Simon Kenton...besides Schoborg who played last year but can no longer play sports due to multiple back injuries.
captain Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Franklin told me about Brandon just a few weeks ago I hate to hear that about him really is a great kid , wasn't he deep in the football program also ? Just goes to show you whats really important in life
SKNEERS Posted January 12, 2006 Author Posted January 12, 2006 Yes, he started one game at corner for varsity, started all the games for jv at corner and went on to letter his sophomore year and looked to be a starter at the linebacker position for this past season until the injury occured.
NEERFAN Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Hurd dominated during the first matchup and I look for a big game from him again. I say SK by 25 plus.
skfan Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I think I remember Hurd being 9-9 from the floor in that game! I predict SK 78 WV 58
MysteriousOnes Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Walton had more turnovers than points last game. SK at home equals a cake walk win.
BoxSeat Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I believe that Hensley is still out for Walton so that is going to hurt when it comes to breaking the pressure of SK. Reggie has been practicing and is expected to play, but still think SK wins handily.
spillywilly Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 that is good news because they will need him but I still say SK buy 15-20
MysteriousOnes Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Reggie has been practicing and is expected to play, but still think SK wins handily. Whoah. A spider sighting......
Scratch0141 Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Last game Hurd had 22,Hester 13, Schambach 14 for SK those were their big performers. WV Tungate 18, Hensley 11, Daugherty 5. Game final score SK 74 WV 53. WV will need good performances out of all their big men to even stay close. Still think SK by 20 because of their outstanding guard play.
