12th Region Fan

I think there is no issue at all as long as the football and basketball coach are communicating. I know some programs this is not the case. Football workout programs and basketball workout programs can look completely different. Also, is the Boyle basketball team not doing their own in season lifting? If so, then I see no reason why the basketball guys need to be going to football workouts too.

Agree completely. I don’t want to take anything away from the other kids. They have played well all year. However, a friend who was at the game last night said Fraley started and played starter minutes. So I’m assuming his workload has increased.

Wayne County can be as good as anyone on any given night. And they very well could figure out and win three games in a row in the region tournament. As their guard play gets more consistent the Cardinals will only get better. I have only seen Mercer play twice this year. Both nights they played well. Should be an interesting next month!

Pulaski beat Clay at Clay County last night 20. Maybe Fraley is making a bigger impact than even expected.

I have heard Burns and Pulaski are set to meet again this week. Maybe Burns had some concerns and Pulaski has made changes or answered questions to those concerns? At this point I’m not sure anyone has a clue of what is happening.

I’m always shocked that Russell County isn’t part of the 12th. I know the time change could be an issue, but they are closer to the teams in the 12th than they are the 4th. It has been rumored for years that Lincoln would be coming to the 47th. I think Lincoln County would dread that move more so than Pulaski or Somerset. Outside of boys basketball the 47th would be tougher for Lincoln to make a regional than the 45th.

Josh was the long time DC for Coach Hines and those state title game teams. Teacher in the school. Should be easy transition. Will be interesting to see what the staff looks like. Lots of new guys? A lot of staff stays in place? And what will happen to Coach Wooldridge? Does he stay at middle school, come to high school staff, or go to a different program in general?

My sources are saying Josh Roberts is the man. Pulaski made a strong effort for Burns, but he decided it wasn’t the right time/fit for he and his family.

Hearing Travis Burns name closely linked to the Pulaski job opening. How big of a loss would that be to the leader of the Rebels defense? How many coaches would Burns bring with him?

I think your rankings are spot on this week. Probably won’t be too much movement next week as most games are going to get canceled this week. I did hear that Pulaski and DCA got canceled tonight and is rescheduled for Saturday.

I have talked to two different people that saw Pulaski play Friday and Saturday. Both of them raved about how much a difference Fraley had made when back on the floor. They have a big week upcoming with DCA and Rock. But getting the arguably the best point guard in the region back has to only make the maroons better.

You very well could be right. But there’s something about that region tournament atmosphere that can make you get tight if you’ve not experienced that environment before! And the same can be said for Somerset. The group they are playing hasn’t been to the regional either unless I’m mistaken.

Another Boyle/Lincoln classic. I’m surprised there were this many points scored.

DCA’s length is something no one can prepare for. They have to be the clear favorites at this point. However, with never playing in the postseason I worry about the lack of experience.

Any news on Fraley? I’ve not seen them since the Lincoln game, but he looked to be walking around with no issue.

Big games across the region tonight! DCA/Somerset, Lincoln/Boyle, Pulaski/Southwestern, Mercer/West Jessamine, and then Wayne/McCreary.

As someone that grew up in Hart County, I hope this isn’t true. I hope the Raiders can keep their coach, and continue much deserved success. However, I think he would do a really good job, and be a definite culture change that Pulaski seems to desperately need.

Any idea which applicants are getting interviews?

This score puzzles me. Just when everyone thinks Boyle has it figured out they drop a score like this.

I’m excited to see the two styles clash. One would expect Lincoln to sit in the zone and force Boyle to shoot the 3. And the others would expect Boyle to get up and pressure the freshman PG with their athletes.

Wouldn’t you expect interviews to start sometime next week? I would think they would want a coach named soon to get ready for spring practice and offseason lifting.

I agree whole heartedly with your first two in the rankings. But I am not sure how we can still put Wayne in the top 3 after a loss to Harlan and blowout by Boyle. I understand that Warren Central has some of their players back, so I won’t hold that one against them. I think Pulaski, Lincoln, or even Rock could be considered in front of them.

I’m hearing Stonebraker is going to get heavy consideration for this job. Wonder what the reaction will be from the PC fan base if this is the hire?
