All good with Pikeville remaining #1 until someone in 1A takes them down. All respect for Raceland, but they were third best team last year, the RPI just matched Pikeville and Campbellsville up a round too early. They may have never graced Kroger field but the Eagles are a legit contender. Late November in 1A will be exciting. Best of luck to all getting there

Pikeville win gets in the win column this week and I think it may be convincing.

KHSAA should get involved on this one. Don't need a trend of teams cancelling and leaving teams hanging just to find a weaker opponent to play. Luckily Campbellsville was able to work out a replacement.

Hart runs the clock. Could be before half.

Be interesting to see if strength of schedule benefits Whitley in this. Speed and physicality of the game goes way up for Campbellsville this week.

I'll take Boyle in any matchup until someone proves they can beat them. Maybe not the most compelling argument, but that is what I got.

Pikeville has played a gauntlet of games to start this season. I think they've earned the right to remain #1 to this point. There may be slightly more in 1A this year though. This week should give more of a clear picture of where everyone stands in Class A with the exception of Campbellsville who had their game cancelled --- we'll know more about them following the Somerset game. I agree it should work itself out when all of these teams start their district games.

How does/will this affect RPI for Campbellsville? My thought is that teams with a full schedule would have more opportunities to raise theirs and could hurt Campbellsville, but I could be completely off in my thinking. Just not sure how that would work.

Running clock. However it will be interesting how Campbellsville fills the big voids left by last years seniors. But, from what I am hearing the talent is certainly there for the foreseeable future.

Haven’t seen Raceland, but I was at the Pikeville/Campbellsville game. Campbellsville pushed Pikeville to the wire and had opportunities to knock them off. HOWEVER, Pikeville has the l makeup of a championship team and they make winning plays. Title stays in Pikeville another year. I’ll go 34-14 final score. And I wouldn’t be surprised if they roll off another 2-3 looking at that roster.

On paper these two are mirror images of each other. But on tape Pikeville has a big size advantage. Hoping the Eagles can keep it close but the Panthers are proven winners in November so it is hard to go against them.
