  1. Didn’t Allen Shafer have the record with 49 points?
  2. Sheppard turned the ball over a lot. He had some steals but also let his guy blow by him several times. I just don’t see how he competes especially on defense against the speed of top D1 talent at UK. I was hoping for NL to win though. Offensively Sheppard is a lot of fun to watch.
  3. That’s amazing to see them back to back years in the state tournament.
  4. I’m going to play devil’s advocate here and say that I don’t have an issue with this at all. Happy for the kid.
  5. I’m impressed with them too. Who is their coach? He adjusted well in the Owen game and he has his team executing a solid game plan in the first half here too.
  6. This game could go either way but I’m going to go with SK. Collins has more offensive fire power but I think SK will have prepared and will execute a better game plan.
  7. North by 15+. I was not impressed by WC in the game against Owen. They should’ve beaten them by 20 but didn’t largely because they struggled against a triangle and 2 and Moore contesting shots for three quarters. WC relies on getting to the rim, and North is bigger than Owen, so I’m guessing WC will struggle even more at putting points on the board.
  8. Does anyone know where I can buy tickets in the lower levels? I only see tickets available on ticket master in the upper levels.
  9. Although based on my antiquated memory, Gallatin always seemed to surprise during tournament time and make games competitive.
  10. Agreed. They needed to score more and from what I understand that kid isn’t a scorer.
  11. Lol I was cheering for Owen. Disappointed that they lost. And I can’t believe Duvall is still coaching. He coached against me when I played and that was many years ago!
  12. North switching to zone late in fourth really threw Grant off offensively. Kudos to North coach for his adjustment. Also, Grant doesn’t call a timeout with the ball in a two possession game with a minute left to set up a play. Big mistake.
  13. Moore had 4 fouls for part of the 3rd and all of the 4th quarters. I don’t recall the coach pulling him. I thought he played through the fouls till the end. Either way, Moore had several crucial turnovers, and the team had a ton of turnovers all game. After Moore got his fourth foul, Woodford started attacking the paint hard against the triangle and two that Owen had successfully ran all game. Moore stopped contesting shots because of foul trouble, and Woodford gradually reclaimed the lead. Owen put on a terrible performance for the final three minutes of the game. Coach and players completely folded.
  14. Grant failed to adjust against the zone that North presented late in the fourth. Thought they settled for too many threes at the end of the game when it was still a two possession game with plenty of time left
  15. I’m a Grant fan and I want them to win, but after watching them play SK last week, I don’t see them winning against NO. Grant plays extremely hard, and I think that gives them an edge in some regular season matchups, because they treat every game like game 7 of the NBA finals, and sometimes other teams might not have that mentality when elimination is not on the line, which I think explains the win against Great Crossing and the close game against NO. But, during tournament time, playing hard only gets you so far. And I think the game against NO could get ugly if NO plays to their full potential.
  16. I got there at 6:30 and couldn’t find a place to sit. Had to stand the entire game! I thought Grant could’ve done a better job attacking the 2-3 zone. They didn’t settle for bad long range shots, but struggled to make shots down low. They just don’t have anybody who can penetrate the middle and hit 10-15’ pull up jumpers.
