Final. A good win for the Cardinals. GRC just to talented for N. Laurel.

The 3rd quarter for GRC was huge! North Laurel tried to push back late in the game, just ran out of time. Great showing by UK commit Reed Sheppard. If he would've had some help in the first half this game might have went slightly different.

GRC moves on to face Lyon County in the quarterfinals tomorrow night at 8:30.

Sheppard turned the ball over a lot. He had some steals but also let his guy blow by him several times. I just don’t see how he competes especially on defense against the speed of top D1 talent at UK.

I was hoping for NL to win though. Offensively Sheppard is a lot of fun to watch.

Morton & Parrish both had 19 for GRC.  Hampton added 16.

Sheppard led all scorers with 23.

GRC had a phenomenal 3rd.

Someone please check the thread about players under the radar.

Sheppard will have zero problems playing at the D1 level, absolutely none!

For some players the next level is better for them. I remember people questioned Rajon Rondo's potential in the NBA. I told everyone he will be better in the NBA than he was at UK.

IMO GRC's length really made a difference defensively and I think will continue to cause problems as they go through the tournament.

Morton was the best all around player on the floor. I was disappointed in N. Laurel. I thought they were better than what they showed.

I saw North Laurel right after Christmas and was not impressed at all.
