Any word on how the scrimmage at SK went today for the Colonels?

Colonels continue to roll 35-14…..last week was a springboard with no let down or hangover at all. Let’s Go!!!

What does this mean for the first 2 rounds of the playoffs? Will CCH be able to host?

This was just posted…..I might swap Cooper and Cov. Cath. as Cov. Cath. is going to lacking size…..but Athens and Cash together in the backcourt for another 2 years is going to be a massive problems for those 2 years….Athens is going to have a monster year!!

That is hands down the coolest CCH Shirt I have ever seen.

And we routinely do not do what most people would refer to as well in 7 v 7 and we usually do not win. Last years state runner team got absolutely trounced by Ryle and then we went in beat them in the regular season. I do not put much stock in 7 v 7’s results as it more about fine tuning and working on getting better and execution. While we know this team is younger, and younger then we have been in a long long time….they will be electric, exciting and deep at the skills which will keep us competitive. We have tremendous Sr. Leadership where we need it and in crucial positions to be able to help the youngsters. A lot of weeks to go to Week 1 and I know those first few weeks are a brutal few weeks, but this team reminds me of the 1991 team, Adam McCormick’s 2nd year at QB, that lost their 4 four games and then went on a tear and made it to the State Semi’s. With all of our depth at the Skills and QB(Jackson Payne was actually our best looking QB coming out of the first 7 v 7), if we can shore up the trenches there is a ton of reason for some serious optimism at getting back to Kroger Field as @UKato91 posted earlier. The Frederick Douglas kid is a Soph and DL/OL and very sizable and the South Carolina kid is said to be a 4 star kicker….

Well I have no knowledge other than the fact I think it’s pretty clear Cash is building something special at CCH and is on a path to a ton of success and I hope He stays as well.

Meaning if Harney is not the starting QB He is gone from CCH?

I know the UK offer is real and the issue at Elder was simply their QB Room from Freshmen up through Varsity is straight loaded….they have 3-4 legit starting studs in that program right now. And the Kid just wanted to come back and be here is really the simple thing of it all. It’s a special place CCH and grass is not always greener on the other side. That all being said, He is a stud when a cannon and an advanced big bodied QB Frame, bit as of now I am told He is a straight pocket passer and the offense does not specifically use only that skill set. I think this becomes more about what alignment can we get into that consistently maximizes our most dynamic players touching the ball at once. And having Harney on the field handling the rock with Geiser, Brooks, Link, Bessler, Clukey, Kruer all out there spreads every defense out in a nightmare scenario. I think at this point is most likely Harney as the options with Him on the fields are just far too great. when I was a CCH we had a QB as a Junior named David Wilson who almost mirrors Harney, except maybe a tick bigger, and His Senior year He transitioned to starting RB(and was dominant as was the 1990 team) to make way for Adam McCormack to take over and I can see that same situation playing out next year and working out to a T, especially if Boyle County can graduate a few folks.

He is still widely lauded as He has been to Nick Saban’s Camp twice and a Nike camp and has an absolute cannon of an arm. Issue is His mobility as CCH likes to use their QB as another RB at times. Something to note that early on in His career Pitzer and had the same criticism about mobility and He became nothing short of an outstanding all around QB, Athlete, and Leader….the QB competition and offense is going to be interesting to watch going forward as they are nothing short of loaded with explosiveness with so many options/weapons, but have some big issues up front to sort out in order to get this train rollin’.

He did. He spent half of His Freshman year buried on the Elder Freshman Teams depth chart and was back at Cov Cath either right before or right after Christmas break.

I have nothing new to update except to say that every Colonel should want the Thelen hire to happen. This would be 10 grand slams rolled into one.

Johnny Lind will be the starting center, I assume, and will get significant time on the DL as well.
