  1. Lincoln County 46 Lexington Catholic 52 Final. Alcorn leads Lincoln with 19. Potter leads LexCath with 22.
  2. Lincoln County 30 Lexington Catholic 39 End of 3rd. Lincoln not shooting well. Potter has been outstanding for LexCath.
  3. Lincoln County 23 Lexington Catholic 29 Half. Ralston sat most of 2nd quarter in foul trouble.
  4. I agree. Lincoln is a solid team, but have kind of fell on hard times here recently. However, I do think it will be closer than most would expect.
  5. I will update the status of this game after each quarter. #2 ranked Lexington Catholic comes to Stanford Tuesday night at 7:30pm. Any chance Lincoln pulls off the upset? What are the deciding factors in your opinion?
  6. I'm on board with Davis getting the nod for Coach of the Year. McCreary Central hasn't historically been a basketball power but this season, they've been a legitimate threat against all region competition. Young, Kelley, Jackson are also contenders. I don't think McKinney is an option, Danville has done some really good things this season, but 2-6 in district vs these other guys records doesn't hold up in a Coach of the Year decision, regardless of him beating Jackson on Friday.
  7. Final in Stanford. There will be some different narratives of this game. Yes, Alcorn played sick and was throwing up when he got subbed, but Danville deserves a ton of credit. They played desperate, Lincoln did not other than the final 4 minutes when the game tightened up. District tournament time is a week and a half away and the 45th is looking murky. Yes, Lincoln, DCA, and Boyle look poised but Danville reminds us all they're a scary team tonight. They defended very well.
  8. Garrard also pressed them the whole first half and that's when they were really beating up on DCA. They were up 13 at one point. Up 8 at the half. The second half they backed off of it and DCA just about came back for the win.
  9. District tournament will be "can't miss" entertainment!
  10. Central had a big 2 days on Friday and Saturday, picking up two huge wins. Then they play another top 25 team tonight. Respect for scheduling as tough as they have. Imagine beating Evangel Christian, North Laurel, and Lexington Catholic in a 5 day span! Almost.
  11. This late in the season you look for consistency and how it will translate in the postseason. I don't disagree with anybody in the top 5, other than maybe Danville. However, I think there are an outside 3-4 teams who can get hot and make a run in region with the right match-ups. Lincoln, West, and Pulaski's consistency sets them apart from the others which definitely makes them favorites going into late February/Early March.
  12. We all know basketball and understand any road win is huge, whether it's Ole Miss or somebody else. You'll take a road win, by 1 point or 15 points; just get the win. Did this without Cason Wallace, too.
  13. I understand your sentiment but you definitely don't want to be the 4 or 5 seed. Extra game and Lincoln awaits in JC Edelman Gymnasium. You want to be seeded 1-3 for sure.
  14. Tramane was much more aggressive than he usually is. He is always a standout player, but last night it kind of felt like he was on a mission or wanted to send a message. Not sure if there was outside chatter or what, but he definitely wanted the 1v1 match-up with Dut. His decision making was almost flawless, he scored a lot but also looked for passes when he penetrated. He probably scored or assisted on like 70% of Lincoln's baskets.
  15. My guess? Cooper wasn't making shots. Their whole offense since Fugate went out has just been iso action for him. Garrard has taken some steps back after a promising start in district.
  16. Nuckols is a player on both sides of the ball. No real holes in his game other than ball handling potentially, I haven't seen him handle it a whole lot. I look for him to make a HUGE leap in scoring from JR to SR season.
  17. I believe both sides were missing multiple starters. Lincoln was led in scoring by Blade Nuckols with 14 points, Trevor Miracle had 13. No Tramane Alcorn, Will Bishop, or Jalen Smith. Tates Creek was led in scoring by Eric Hackett with 17. Impressive of Nuckols and Miracle to step up and make big plays last night when Lincoln needed it. Next man up! Tates Creek essentially face guarded Ralston all night, he only had 4 points but did a great job distributing the ball, I'd guess he had 6 or 7 assists.
  18. Lincoln County: Jeff Jackson-Father James Jackson-Son *This one is active, both are coaching right now.
  19. Going down in Danville tonight. The Ads could use a big win like this!
  20. Final. Lincoln County 54 Boyle County 48 Ralston leads Lincoln with 16. Myers leads Boyle with 29.
