  1. Halftime. Lincoln 16 Boyle 17 Lincoln has some foul trouble. Boyle has outrebounded Lincoln by quite a few.
  2. Side not, Colton Ralston is 5 points away from 1,000 in his career!
  3. One of the nastier basketball rivalries in Central Kentucky happens tomorrow night at 7:30 in Stanford. Any predictions on this one? I will post live updates at the end of each quarter.
  4. Lincoln wins. Garrard missed some huge free throws in the 4th. Alcorn with huge defensive stops and wasn't afraid to let Cooper know about it. Love the competitive spirit in the 45th!
  5. I agree with everything that has been said. Hard ask of Garrard. They would need to shoot as well as they did from behind the line at DCA but Lincoln will play man primarily. Garrard will also need to take care of the ball, take good shots, and show patience. Their offense kind of strays from that as a rule. Lincoln 72 Garrard 51
  6. 45th district contest. I'll update after each quarter tonight. Do we have an upset or does Lincoln stay hot and take care of business?
  7. Wayne County also forced DCA to swap their defense around about 2 minutes into the ball game. DCA's initial zone Wayne picked apart early and got a 7-0 jump. The Phillips boys were extremely good. Hard to believe Farmer is only a freshman, he will be scary good when he gets older.
  8. Stephens was still effective in the low scoring affair. I believe he had 13. He was less effective in the second half. Ralston had 20 points on near perfect shooting. He and Tramane are a very hard duo to prepare for.
  9. Wayne led wire- to- wire. Punched DCA in the mouth early.
  10. Gave Lincoln everything they could handle for 3 quarters. Costly turnovers and poor rebounding lost them the game. Definitely a team to watch in the post season. Very disciplined.
  11. Agreed. Fugate is another ball handler who takes some pressure off Cooper; not to mention Fugate can score. They also add in players like Adams and J. Noe who are lurking on the perimeter when Cooper penitrates. Really solid outside shooting team. Might be the best 3pt shooting team in the district.
  12. Final. Garrard County may be a sleeper in the 45th and in the 12th region in general. Two big district wins already.
  13. Final in Stanford. Lincoln is led in scoring by Alcorn with 20. Southwestern is led in scoring by Meece with 15.
  14. Two interesting 12th region boys basketball match-ups at Lincoln County High School tomorrow! 4:30pm- Danville Christian Academy vs. Wayne County 7:30pm- Lincoln County vs. McCreary Central There are also two girls games mixed in. Full day of basketball!
  15. They were on YouTube last year. Will it be the same for this season?
  16. Emily Estes from Lincoln County commits to Alice Lloyd College.
  17. You're not a "homer"! Just calling it like you've seen. I have yet to watch Boyle so I won't give any input on them but I totally agree that Boyle could very well end up in the conversation by the end of the season. Very excited for this 12th Region tournament!
  18. Ralston was otherworldly. 11 for 15 from the field and 5 for 8 from three. I was talking with somebody who hit it right on the head, I thought. Pulaski tried to take away Alcorn when they should've came in to take away Ralston. Alcorn is fantastic but he hurts you with layups and struggles from time to time at the line. Ralston kills you with 3s and Pulaski didn't defend him with size so he shot over the top (when he wasn't wide open) all evening. Pulaski did pretty good limiting Alcorn, overall. That being said, Alcorn played within the flow of the game and didn't force any action. He had quite a few assists and rebounded very well. I'm neutral in the region and 45th district, but Lincoln was hard not to like last night. They were scary. Almost everyone they played was in double figures and looked a legitimate threat and I think that's what separates them. Yes, you have Ralston and Alcorn; but Bishop can score, Sims can score, and now, Davis is finding a groove.
  19. District was at Danville last season and it's supposed to be alphabetical which would mean it's at DCA, but if Garrard was supposed to host maybe the order got switched around; such as it does from time to time. Lincoln is definitely hosting region, though. The last month leaves a lot to wonder in the 45th. Garrard beats DCA @ DCA. Lincoln crushes Pulaski. Boyle beats Garrard last night. Going to be fun!
  20. Final from Stanford. Lincoln led in scoring by Ralston with 27. Pulaski led in scoring by Lancaster with 25. Lots of college coaches in attendance for this one. After the 1st quarter it was never really a game. Lincoln seemed to have more energy from the get-go and took care of the ball and shot tremendously. I'll need to watch another Pulaski game before I make a final judgment on them. Tonight was rough for PC.
  21. Final in Stanford. Lincoln County 76 Pulaski County 49 Lincoln cruised the whole way. Colton Ralston led Lincoln with 27 points and knocked down 5 or 6 threes. PC led in scoring by Cayden Lancaster with 25.
