Martha Layne Collins will be up there near the middle of the pack in due time. Kade Goodin is an absolute problem and now he has WRs that can make plays. They play a very good Oldham County team this week and then Scott Co, Woodford, and South Oldham in district. To say they'll be battle tested is an understatement. If they can compete with Scott and Woodford, watch out come playoff time.

So glad this mentions the knee pads stuff should be addressed in pregame, and also that they should be given the chance to correct it. Also, “be easy to work with” is all people ask for.

Spencer County only has one high school. Changed from Taylorsville High School in the 70s but was only ever one school.

Series in the wing t that has trap and waggle off of it. Wing, TE, OT all block gap/down/backer, front side and backside guard pulls. FB dives like he's running trap, QB rolls out opposite like he's running waggle.

They'd definitely lose to Battle Ground Academy, but I believe that's one of the games still being ironed out. Meade should be a loss, and Hart is a very possible loss. Them and John Hardin will be a battle for that district.

He has never had 3 studs. He had one kid that went to Union and that's about it.

Give some credit to the fighting Jason Burns'. They've won 4 of the last 5 against WOFO with less size and less athleticism every game. The kids trust the game plan and execute it! The top of that 2-3 one was rotating like their hair was on fire.

Maybe next year WOFO will come back with some plays to attack a 2-3 zone. Maybe!

Final from Taylorsville. Bears led the whole way, never got closer than 5 after the very beginning.

Spencer County beat CAL last night. Got down 27-11 in the 1st and came back by the end of the 3rd.

This isn't about state championship caliber teams. This is for the 90% of JCPS schools who don't have any linemen that can pass block or a QB who can throw it, yet still do what they see the college and pros do and try to throw the ball 30 times a game.
